Leon See said that the Godfrey fight was on the level, which ironically is one of the ones that I was always suspicious of!

I'm convinced it was significantly better than Carnera's

    The public remained unconvinced.

YQUOTE="reznick, post: 18560423, member: 54206"]They didn't even honor his lineal title win over Sharkey.
What makes you think they'll put him on any list? lol[/QUOTE]
His ko% would have put anyone else prominently on it! Which obviously begs the question why did they disregard it!
And why did they not choose to honour his winning of the richest prize in sports by making him Fighter Of The Year?

For the same reason Sonny Liston was not given fighter of the year. You either disregard Liston also because it was exactly the same reason given for Liston not getting it as Primo!

Probably because his image was unfairly marred due to relationships with unsavory people who seemingly hijacked his career for personal gain.
Obstacles which he overcame to win the world heavyweight title, defending it twice, fairly.

How about Liston featuring prominently,[number15 ,]in the 100 greatest punchers rankings and Carnera being nowhere?

Did that stop Sonny Liston being rated number 15 in the 100 greatest punchers list? Whereas Carnera isn't mentioned!Don't tell me, it's all that anti Italian bias that you couldn't find any evidence of despite paying for information trying to find some !

I never intended to find any.
And I never said anything about an anti Italian bias.
How many dumb, false accusations are you going to make?

"Name 5 times purses got withheld in the 30's!"
"Name me one purse that got withheld from Braddock!"
"Produce quotes of champions regarding Carnera as a champion!"
    "ARGHH"

Do you ever stop being entitled, angry, and annoying?

I'm not entitled ,and if I'm annoying you that's because you don't have any answers, proof ,or evidence to back up your absurd claims ,and the overwhelming majority on here have voted against your opinion 85 to 8!

Primo didn't punch so good for his size against smaller men. But it did not stop him or Muhammad Ali from stopping most of the guys they beat. Against guys his own size Primo usually flattened them.

In fact the biggest guys Ali fought he often stopped or knocked them out. Liston, Foreman, Cleveland Williams, Al blue Lewis, Sabdong, Ronald Lyle..where as little guys like Doug Jones and Leon Spinks gave him more trouble. this stuff is not that unusual.

The purse that was withheld he got for fighting Rosenbloom for one. The commission only allowed him his fare home and the rest went into a "fund". He also had his purse withheld against Al Ettore.

It is not so much that I disagree with them, as that they do not address the questions being put to you. I have not asked you to find fault with Carnera's technique, I have asked you to define how Bowe was better.

How does Bower represent a quantum improvement in big fighter technique?

How would this provide him with a decisive advantage against smaller opponents in the ring?

If the above two are the case, then you should be able to put your finger on it.

What about Bowes failure to even try to make sues of his reach advantage over smaller opponents, and where does that fit into the argument?
