This would be an amazing bout.
Putting it all on the line, to unify the WBC and WBF titles and having one champ finally.

James Toney, at a young 49 just KTFOd a dangerous opponent fairly early to win the world title.

Wilder should definitely take the bout, but proceed with caution, because Toney is a great puncher with slick defense, especially well vs wide punching opponents like Windmiller.

I predict Wilder makes it to the 9th and while winning a couple of rounds he tires badly from missing, tears some tendons, and Toney poors it on and get Wilder out of there.

    What do you predict?

I think Toney should go for the WBA title. He has no chance against Wilder at this stage.I can see Toney getting more offers now after he kinda broke Forman's record.

Wilder obliterates Toney. The old geezer has done great things, time to take a bow.

If Wilder even gets the idea that fighting Toney would be viable for the fans we all know he will fap himself to death over yet another soft defence :wanker:wanker:wankerWilder sucks but he's got too much in the tank for Old Man James.

All 4 of your choices ****ing suck. Are we pretending the JT from the holy and jirov fights showed up more than a handful of times through 2 decades ???

JT had way more total duds than epic showings, that's for sure. JT might be the only non true hw who could still be standing after a straight right clips him from DW, but I idk..

For all the TALENT JT showed periodically, he's very mediocre to bad more often than not.

Idk, dw could easily out work him 6 outta 10 x,
I'd take DW, he shows up in shape and mentally ready 100% of the time
JT lost to too many journeyman, stuff in have yet to see from DW

Dude, he's 50 years old. Wilder will flap, flap, flap away until something lands and then he'll celebrate like he just beat a prime Toney. I don't need to see that :(

This would be a big step up from Wilder's usually opponents. I'm not sure if he's ready to take on a fresh, young, energetic champ like James Toney. Wilder needs 30 or 40 tune-ups against some kindergarten teachers. I'd say in about 10 or 15 years he'll be ready to put the belt on the line against Toney.

That speaks volumes that this would be a huge step up for Wilder.
And let's be honest, Toneys resumé is wayyyy better than Wilders
