Its hard to say if it would go like that. D Williams was badly hurt and put down by Vitali but got up to go some rounds.
Williams was actually talked up as being a live dog after his shock KO of Tyson. Just like Hide was the UK bookies favourite before he was destroyed by a prime VK.
Joshua would pop his bonk off. Vitali is wide open to counters and Joshua is an accurate and crisp sharp shooting counter puncher. Thats no good for Vitali , the guy has no defence whatsoever. If a slow , sloppy terrible looking version of Lewis could hit him at will , Joshua would bounce combos off his dome all night. Vitali was riddled in flaws and technical errors and a guy like Joshua would expose them badly. He's the more technically well rounded boxer here by far.
Vitali wouldn't have dropped him with a single punch in the first place and i can't recall he ever finishing off anybody. He stops people on accumulation
bit unfair considering Joshua is yet to hit his prime , reckon Joshua would smash the boring Ukranian ***** anyway
You need to watch the Herbi Hide fight. He absolutely destroyed him with a single blow to the head. And you accuse others of not knowing boxing.
You speak when spoken to Klan Man. Hide had a glass heart heat and quit that fight. It was no different to Wilders fight with Scott except Hide tottally out boxed Vitali in round one. Scott didn't win a minute against Wilder. You never saw it.
Of course I saw it, that's why I know Vitali has taken out his victims with one punch. I also saw how he scrambled Solis' brains with one punch to the point of causing him to collapse all his weight on his leg leading to cruciate ligament damage whereby he never remained the same ever again. You need to learn and understand I have a greater repertoire of knowledge concerning the sport of boxing. I don't just follow one creed of fighter, but all fighters throughout history and this is why you will always make a fool of yourself when you attempt to debate with me boy.
Vitali would be able to survive Joshua's attacks due to his iron chin, AJ would gas at some point, then become a wide open target. Vitali mid to late KO/TKO, his own attacks would hurt Joshua, he punched hard enough. AJ would need a lot more boxing experience, those attack bursts wouldn't cut it against Vitali imo. people crediting AJ with beating everyone seem to forget he was nearly knocked out against Wlad. It was a great win, I'm a fan, but its not like he wiped the floor with Wlad so now we can assume he kills every heavyweight in history. There are a ton I would pick to beat AJ in this stage of his career.
^ This. I haven't read the rest of the thread, but the fight with Wlad went pretty close to what I anticipated - DEFINITELY went how I hoped it would. Right from the start I maintained that Wlad is past his best, after watching this fight I consider that still confirmed... I have to reiterate, past his best is still easily right near top of the current division but not the dominant force he was. Peak Wlad would have beaten the Joshua that fought that weekend, as would peak Vitali. However, Joshua has shown he learns from his mistakes and works to correct them - there is a reasonable chance the Joshua who shows up to his next fight is further evolved and even more dangerous.
Remains to be seen imo. If the chips had fallen differently on the night we'd all be asking can Joshua come back from a devastating loss.
