GGG is shot now and old. His last 2 fights against Brook and Jacobs he didn't look too good, so I'd say he's past prime now. His last prime fight was vs. Lemieux I think. Now if GGG wins on the other hand he should get massive credit as he's past prime vs. a Prime Canelo. Similar tactics to what Mayflower did, waiting for Pac to be shot and fought him.
Sorry I totally disagree, both should get credit and I mean the winner and loser, would making the fight a year ago made that much difference really?
So a "shot" fighter destroyed brook and clearly best a 100% fit, focused and ready Jacob's??? That's not possible.. ggg isn't what he was at 26 but shot, HELL NO
Not another troll thread ... there should be limits on how many thread new posters can start in a day.
I think what you said elsewhere was spot on. People present prime/shot as if it happens in a blink of the eye (or just before their favourite fighter loses - funny that), whereas prime-to-shot is a gradual process, faster for some than others and difficult to define for all. GG aint shot or in his prime. He's having a boxing career...
If & its a big IF the GGG-Canelo fight is an honest fair fight, fairly officiated & Canelo LEGITIMATELY beats Gennady I'll be the first to congratulate him & apologize foe calling him El Pollo Rojo The only problem with that is Oscar seems unwilling to givrGennady a fair fight He's stacked the deck against Gennady, maybe hoping he would turn it down. But Gennady wants to get his hands on Canelo SO bad he'd have agreedto anything Tell me Caneloites If GGG beats Canelo will ypu give him the credit he deserves ????????
The Pac>Donaire>Matthysse>Pac>Golovkin bandwagon is so used to being on the losing side they prepare for it in advance now.
