Floyd Mayweather refused to give Anthony Joshua credit

    This guy is jealous and refused to talk about Anthony Joshua when asked about him, lmao.

    “There’s a lot of good fighters out there,” he said, when asked if Joshua could carry the sport in the same way he
    had during the prime of his career.

    “A lot of young, tough competitors out there. A lot of fighters giving the sport of boxing blood, sweat and tears.

    “They’re working hard every day.

    “You’ve got Gervonta Davis, you’ve got Badou Jack – and you have numerous other fighters that aren’t even under the Mayweather banner – working hard and giving the sport blood, sweat and tears.”

    But the Michigan native left fans furious with his refusal to acknowledge 19-0 IBF, WBA and IBO champion Joshua.

    “He goes off on a tangent and talks about Gervonta Davis and Badou Jack and puts them in the same bracket as Joshua,” wrote one fan.
    “AJ is in a different stratosphere to these guys. Mayweather can never give a guy top dog status.”

    Another added: “There's something seriously wrong with this guy. You're the highest paid sportsman in history, undefeated record.

    “Arguably one of the greatest boxers in history, yet he struggles to give credit to anyone else. The jealousy with this guy is off the scale.”

    He pretends sometimes that he doesn't know fighters but he knows all of them and he certainly knows who

    Joshua isn't one of his guys. Davis has a fight coming up in the UK he wants people to focus on him not Joshua. He's Davis' promoter not Joshua's.

    Stop talking about Floyd Mayweather. Why are so many people still obsessed with him almost 2 years after he retired? Hes gone and I'd love it if he stayed gone, not just from the ring but from discussion. He's damaged the sport enough

    How do you know he's "pretending"? Floyd's ego is so large he barely knows who fighters around his own weight are, let alone some foreign heavyweight he has no interest in. Floyd is also quite thick. You're giving him too much credit.

    He wasn't asked about his fighters, there was no need to talk about them, he tried clearly to avoid talking
    about Anthony Joshua, not because of his fighters rather because he don't want people to see him as one
    of the biggest boxing stars and that is jealousy, for the same reason is he pretending that he doesn't know
    any fighter other than the ones fighting under his banner.

    I just watched him on IFLTV acting an idiot during davies walsh head to head.

    You're just a hater, i remember your miserable and uneducated 7ft elephant in the ring thread.

    You are one of those guys who thinks anything that has a hype is bad and needs to be avoided to not make
