Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

All it will do is turn people away. It will be a one sided mismatch with mayweather doing the absolute bare minimum and mcgregor flailing around trying to find mayweather like he's been spun round in an office chair for an hour.

 

Of course none of us would turn down $100,000,000. But none of us already have more money than we could spend in a hundred lifetimes. It's a joke fight, we all know it, Mcgregor knows it and Floyd knows it, you'd think they'd both have more self respect. They're taking advantage of idiots who don't know any better.

 

That's easy to say but $100 million dollars is not the type of money you turn down. PBF has money but $100 million is still $100 million he could blow all the money he's made from his career but get this $100 million payday and be set for life all over again. I don't really blame either one of them for gaming the system I wish it was me who could hit a lick like that.

 

They both suck. What's the lesser of two evils... tough call.

I don't consider Floyd a boxer anymore since he has been retired for a while now and this wouldn't be a boxing fight but some pro-wrestling-UFC-boxing hybrid, I doubt they can even get it officially sanctioned and it could just be an exhibition match. I honestly couldn't care less about this "fight", it has nothing to do with boxing and it has no relevance for the current boxing landscape. This is a joke and a cash grab for both of them. I wouldn't be surprised if it would be partly stage and Floyd will somehow carry Conor to the final bell so that the UFC preserves their cash cow.

I hope it does low numbers and bombs completely, which wouldn't be surprising at all. Boxing fans aren't interested in this so it will just be the usual UFC fanbase and a lot of them don't want to see this fight either. It won't do over 2 million PPV. Hopefully Canelo vs GGG does better.

 

Floyd. More so for the hope that he will brutally and comically make McGregor look like exactly what he is in a boxing ring....barely even an amateur. Hopefully it knocks some sense into the casual fan out there who is delusional enough to believe non boxers/mma fighters can beat actual professional boxers..... in a boxing match.... simply because a portion of mma skillset is somewhat transferrable/related. It's nonsense.

 

MMA fighters can't even compete with any top 100 boxer and most of them have Glass Jaws. You have guys getting KOed by Jabs in MMA. These guys don't know how to properly throw a punch.

 

Since the outcome is clear and this is all about money so they'll both ride of in the sunset laughing anyway, I'm not cheering for anyone but I do hope to see this backfire massively Just imagine all of those poor souls who idolize Floyd.

 

Nothing would be more funnier than seeing a guy whos never even boxed before knock him out. nothing will be gained if Mayweather wins,imagine what will happen and the excuse he has IF that ever did happen?
