Will GGG be stripped of a world title?

If GGG beats Canelo, and Canelo enforces the rematch clause, do you think any of the WBC/WBA/IBF would strip GGG for potentially not facing their mandatory challenger next?

Doesn't bode well for GGG's dream to unify the division.

Seems as though the IBF belf might be a liability when combined with the other belts.

 

First thing I believe will become an issue with the different alphabets is that I really doubt they'll all be on the line.

The IBF has a 10lbs rehydration clause, and we know Canelo refuses day of the fight reweights.
Canelo's beef with the WBC for not giving him another exception and their sanctioning fee rules is another issue.

Wouldn't be surprised if the fight wil only be for the IBO and WBA belts.

 

Pretty sure Fat Dan said the IBF weigh in is excluded for this fight in the contract.

 

IBF will strip him for sure, WBC will make Charlo-Heiland for interim title and will allow the rematch.
WBA will never strip GGG, along with Lebedev, he's their longest reigning and most respected champ.

 

By this do you mean the IBF belt is not on the line?

 

I would hope that this eventuality was thought of and discussed beforehand with the abc orgs.

 

I doubt Canelo will even cafe for the IBO belt.
