I don't follow them on social media so really wouldn't know if they post annoying **** or offer fantastic insights into the sport. What I do know is that Liam, Stephen and Paul have never looked anywhere near world class but have had totally underserved title shots handed to them on a silver platter. Paul especially so. As for Callum, he certainly looks to be the best of them and we'll soon know if he's the real deal. He's looked good so far but it's a big step up to world level.
As Sugar88 said, it's the cronyism aspect. I genuinely can't think of anyone who has had so many chances without deserving it. Plus - this might be hard for me to back up - I am very very sure it was him who vacated his British title because he didn't want to fight one of the challengers. He also comes across a complete ***** on Twitter as well. Soon as anyone says anything that isn't arse kissing he replies with the usual "Have you ever laced up gloves\What have you achieved with your life" patter, then blocks them. I like to think I'm a reasonable enough guy but I can't see anything to like about the man at all. He was a ***** after the Smith-Williams fight as well, totally graceless. And he's got a fat head like a steak and kidney pie.
I hate the WBA and there regular titles. George Groves v Chudinov is for the WBA World Title. This is just a joke.
Paul Smith simply does not deserve a 5 ranking with the WBA organisation. Looking at his record and inactivity proves he has done nothing to justify such a ranking. So the WBA wouldn't be able to justify such a fight, but they could if Paul Smith had a good ranking. So out of nowhere suddenly Paul Smith is ranked No:5. The whole thing stinks. But Paul Smith the 'unbiast' Sky pundit wants a world title badly and will play dumb like he was just offered it, but clearly there are shady dealings going on here. Can Paul Smith justify this title opportunity, can he justify his WBA ranking? No, he just hopes people won't notice, and those that do he resorts to blocking them on Twitter. I really hope he loses again, not because he is Paul Smith, but because his ranking has been manipulated and he simply does not deserve it. Remember not long ago the WBA wouldn't sanction this fight, and now after beating some tomato cans his ranking improved to 5. The WBA needed to justify this fight and by manipulating the rankings they have done just that. It is absolutely shameful!
Smith Jnr is a joke His fighting is a joke His reactions to people are a joke The way he perceives himself is a joke The way he goes on is a joke The mans just a total clown Outside of the fact that he has stepped in a ring & fought & deserves the respect every man who does that gets, he is a complete fool & comes across as a sly person
Reiterating what previous posters said. he's not going to knock the opportunity the back - end of day he's quite a big name (contender/sky/his family's coverage) and Eddie Hearn has been a miracle worker for him. Good luck to him
How did Stiverne get to the mandatory? How did Wilder ever get ranked in the top 20 without ever fighting anyone ranked? WBC is criminal org.! (also), they all are......... Wilder had had five voluntary title defenses in a row, a record!
You were doing so very well until your last sentence. He isn't a good fighter neither a decent pundit. He is mediocre at both joba
Saw paul smith in that little boy blue, to be fair his character represented how much of a tool he is in real life, paul smith and bellew the new starsky and hutch
Was interesting listening to Dave Allen on the toe to toe podcast saying exactly the same thing as people on here. It was refreshingly honest stuff. He has his title shot and you just never know. I'd love another local lad to be world champion. You might not like him, he isn't deserving of a title shot, but if he somehow wins, he'll be a deserving world champion because he'd have got in the ring and snatched it from one.
i was listening to the white rhino on ringside podcast and he nailed Paul Smith ... defo worth a listen
i saw that and immediately wondered which high up person he has footage off. managed to get himself a "world title" shot and an ITV drama all in the same week. Although i think i saw Gilberto Mendoza tweet he's gonna have a decision on whether it is gonna be for the regular title or not next week
Thought this was a forum about boxing anyway, some of those posts on this thread (and a few others) wouldn't look out of place in one of my missus's gossip magazines. Who cares what he's like on social media or what tv drama he's starred in.
