Big deal, Usman Ahmed dropped Joshua in sparring too.

 

What's his diq game like though? AJ is gonna be no joke in that department.

The kid's clearly got a lot of potential. Maybe 3-4 years from beginning to reach his full potential and a further 12 months from developing a fanboy following....

 

He has huge potential.. Even sparred Tyson Fury and gave him a hiding, Fury said he's gona be top heavyweight in the future (Tyson also said that about AJ).

Frank shouldn't have signed him and made him pro so early.. He could have been an Olympic gold medalist and that would have kick started his pro career alot better.. Plus he would have gained a lot more experience from fighting more regularly as an fighting different styles and countrymen as a amateur.

 

Tyson Fury only said that because he is not a threat at the moment, give Dubois 2 years and Tyson Fury will say
he is a bodybuilder and he would box his head off.

 

Was it you that I was trying to explain Joshuas chin as a weakness? Im not sure if it was you but at times I think I know Joshua better than his fanboys. Some people just wont listen despite the evidence on youtube.

This is not suprising to me at all but like I said before, its not entirely a bad thing. You on the other hand sound suprised.

 

Amazes me how much people care about knockdowns in sparring

 

A guy in 'classic' who does not seem too impressed by modern boxers in general told me a while back that Dubois had a higher ceiling that Joshua and that he was "a natural" - If he has a hardcore classicist praising him like that when still a teenager without a pro fight he must have shown something special. I have yet to see the fight from last night but from the limited clips on youtube he looks like he knows what he is doing, I suppose we will be better able to judge his potential once he has a decent number of pro rounds under his belt.

 

This kid COULD be the real deal. He is still young so hopefully he won't get too rushed, but potentially he could be far better in 4 or 5 years than AJ is now.

 

Most classic guys have clearly an agenda, you can see that they are generally not interested in modern boxing
because almost none of them are posting in the General Forum, i wouldn't give too much about their opinions
on modern heavyweight boxers.

Everyone can see that Dubois has great potential and he could be great someday but Anthony Joshua is clearly
one of the most "natural" athletes i have ever seen especially when you consider that he started boxing at the
age of 18, Dubois could go the same way as AJ if he stays focused.
