Starting to turn heads. Only 19 so not sure of his amateur status? One to look out for in the big leagues?
Looks decent so far against limited opposition and it should be tbh he is only 19 (which scary ). Plenty time to develop skill set etc look big puncher ,even last night didn't catch Howe that great but he wanted no part him. Should look to keep him active slowly build him no rush and at domestic level no great fighters but a big jump in class to higher levels comes across quite a shy decent guy. Thought him yarde looked good and hopefully come good as much Bretter have competition betwin frbak and eddie so we as fans get Better fighTs
Need to see his chin tested before making any judgements. He's going to be facing cans in his first 10 fights at least so hard to make a call. Chris Byrd would look like a KO artist fighting these stiffs.
amazing power. however, urge you all to watch him against menudo in his second fight, whos a cruiserweight, he gets rocked in the first round and his legs go.
He had a good amateur career, just before he turned pro he won a GB boxing championship (fight is on YouTube). The person he beat recently won ABA title and boxes in WSB (his name is Solomon Dacres) so shows the level Dubois was at. Not sure on other fighters he's been in with, but he's sparred Joe Joyce and Joshua and then the Furies when he turned pro Have to admit I didn't think he's turnover I thought he'd go for Tokyo for the boost that could have on his career, He seems to be creating the hype himself which is good!
Looks huge and has real power. As ever, it'll take 20 fights to see if he's actually another David Price with a chin made from feta cheese. Let's hope he's more of a Joshua than a Price.
yeah still very early but I've heard that the intention from his backers already is to aim for being the youngest British heavyweight to win a version of the world title which I think is currently held by Herbie Hide who was about 22 when he won the WBO title.
If his chin holds up he will be huge. Fantastic boxer, moves like a middleweight and so much time to improve
He did not get rocked you liar. He was hit on the back of the head which pushed him forward towards the ropes before he quickly resumed absolutely annihilating Mendouo. At no stage in the fight was he hurt let alone losing his legs! For those questioning Dubois if he is legitimate heavyweight, let me just say without question, that he absolutely battered Joshua in sparring, knocking him down in the process. He also roughed up Tyson Fury and this is not a rumour it actually happened.
You can't read too much into breathing these type of club fighters. Numerous examples of guys blowing these dudes away and coming unstuck vs their first live dog. That said certainly impressive.
Lads Fury was 350 pounds when Dubois sparred him. Can't take much from that. But I'm delighted there is another great heavyweight prospect fighting in UK. And even happier he's on BT as it creates competition for sky.
