Daniel Duboius confirms he dropped Anthony Joshua in sparring!

I heard Charlie Z knocked Joshua down in sparring too.

Anyway, what do you think about this guy Daniel Dubois? Sparring is sparring, but do you think that because of that sparring session with Joshua, he might perhaps get his career fast tracked with some decent fighters early? or will they leave Dubois to come up with the usual gradual rise?

 

They'll keep feeding him stiffs. A decent name would not fight him for peanuts anyway.

 

Dubois is under Frank Warren, so don't expect him to be fast-tracked. Fwank won't put him anywhere near a puncher for at least 20 fights. I expect we'll see him against guys who look good on paper, but pose absolutely no threat whatsoever. Otherwise he looks decent and it will be interesting seeing him develop.

 

Well Dubois has definitely entered the spotlight for a guy with only 3 pro fights and no real amateur background. I can't wait till he fights a decent name fighter.

Thats a good match up. Maybe not as Dubois 4th fight but later on. His first test anyway.

There is a very, very good chance Frank tries to feed them to Dubois at some point. Whether or not the BBBofC clears either of those men to fight is another matter entirely.

 

Yeah, I was half joking...but only half. And there's little long term damage to be done in 30 seconds, so I reckon they'd get sanctioned. They know their job, get knocked out and make it look savage...

 

His first big step up should be vs Scuba Scott. Scubes could be tempted with the right offer, maybe an opera from the national theatre.
