    Were you disappointed with Joseph Parker's recent performance? Are you confident the unification with Wilder will come to fruition?

    Bob Arum: "Well, Parker's got to fight a mandatory first against Hughie Fury. That will take place in the UK in July."

    Is there no way around that with an exception so the unification can happen first?

    Bob Arum: "No because economically it's better off to do Fury and then maybe Joshua. Wilder is a nice guy, but he doesn't bring anything to the table. He doesn't bring any money to the table. Not like these English guys do. What do you do with a Wilder fight? You can't put it on PPV so it goes on regular television and it's not going to do a huge gate."

    Maybe if you and Al Haymon found the right deal the fight could be on a major network like Fox or NBC.

    Bob Arum: "But there's no gelt there. There's more gelt in England. In other words, if it's unification you're going to have to compensate Wilder and you're going to have to compensate my guy and there's not enough money."

    Wilder doesn't bring anything to the table. That's interesting.

    Bob Arum: "It's not that he doesn't bring anything to the table. He doesn't bring enough to the table, not for another champion. The Wilder-Joshua fight would be interesting, but only in the UK. It wouldn't be huge in the United States, but in the UK it would do big business."

    Hopefully he is interesting enough to Fury that he will actually fight him this time around.

    Rudenko is the only name on his cv, not sure he's worthy of being the mando, especially when he ducked. Ducking should have a cost attached.

    Good to see Arum saying what I've been saying - Parker vs Wilder would make no money for the pair. So the way forward will be for Parker to fight Hughie and either of them to fight Bellew.

    Both will want to hold on to their belts for a cash out fight vs Joshua while they have the belt as a bargaining chip. Too much risk for both fighters to match up prior to that.

    It's about time Arum left the sport. He's not a major player anymore. I lost respect for him in the 90's. He's cut out many boxers and has short changed them since the mid 90's. He doesn't know what the people want anymore.

    Why are there so many conflicting reports?

    Parker-Whyte?
    Parker-Wilder?
    now Parker-Fury?

    The matchup I want is Parker-Whyte. Let the giants be for a moment, I want to see a brawl similar to Whyte v Chisora.

    Wilder doesn't bring anything to the table? I beg to differ. Outside of Joshua and maybe Bellew or Wlad, that would be the biggest money fight for the pair of them. Hughie isn't a draw at all. He's fought no one of note, has no belt, has a bland personality, bland fighting style and a habit of pulling out of/avoiding big fights. His only worth is in showcasing Parker's talents to the UK audience in order to facilitate better terms for a Joshua fight. If they're planning on going after Wilder it doesn't really make much sense.

    Arum's chatting out his arse on this one.

    So team Fury got what they wanted anyway it seems, take home advantage away from the champion after claiming an injury and pulling out.

    Would have much rather seen Parker vs Wilder.

    Why is that good to see?

    We have two top 10 HW fighters both pretending to be world champion, it shouldn't matter about anything else other than getting them in the ring together.

    This too much risk bs is why boxing has gone to **** over the last 20 years
