Was going to include the 2 other 80s 'Four kings' as well but I thought it was pretty obvious where most people would have placed Hagler and Hearns on a list of strongest chins of the 4.

So who would you rank above the other, Leonard or Duran? or maybe you couldn't separate the pair of them at all?

p4p? I think Duran had a great chin. If a cruiserweight Power puncher hit Hagler in the head like that i think Hagler would go as well. Leonard had a very good chin but not the best. he could be hurt. Hearns chin was average. Haglers was great.

Can't actually remember myself but did Hearns ever visibly hurt or shook up Leonard at any time during their 1981 bout?

The shots that a natural 135 lb Duran took at 37 yrs old from a Barkley that prob weighed 175 in that fight is enough for me to pick Duran.

Tough one. Will think about it a bit more before casting my vote.

After his intial layoff Leonard was getting dropped by the likes Howard and later Hearns {no disgrace there} then Lalonde. Norris put RL down 2X when Ray was about 35 years old. Duran was smaller but was able to stay on his feet even past his prime except for the Hearns fight.

Both fighters had outstanding chins but Duran has the edge.

Leonard s speed and agility saved him from having his chin really tested until late on in his career but Duran showed early on that he had a solid set of whiskers. Leonard was dropped by Howard then hurt a couple of times against Hagler. Dropped by lalonde, hearns and norris. Apart from the kd against de jesus and the ko by hearns he was never really down. So my pic is Duran had a great chin whilst leonard had a decent one.

Both had good chins. But, I would give the nod to Duran.

Outside the Hearns blowout, Duran is a bit like Hagler, you're struggling to remember seeing him hurt.

Leonard. He fought tough matches with Tommy Hearns.

Hearns obliterated Duran with one big punch in round two.

    Same guy, vastly different results.

You could say the same about Leonard, Duran vs Hector Camacho. Same guy, vastly different results.

Duran fought a lot more times than Leonard. He got hit in the head a lot more times than Leonard. And he remained upright by and large more than Leonard.

    So I'd go with Duran.

This is about as disingenuous a replay of two careers as I've seen in awhile.
