    Add in Jorge Ahumada, Richie Kates, Jesse Burnett and Pierre Fourie and you can see how thick that division was.

    Not easily!

    Mike Spinks at the top. Eddie Muhammad and Marvin Johnson at the bottom.

    Qwai would be #2, Galdinez would be #3

    Spinks has wins over Dwight Qwai, Eddie Muhammad, and Marvin Johnson! He never lost at 175 pounds. So for me, he's #1 on the list. The only knock on Spinks is he has far fewer fights than the other.

    Based on accomplishments, not talent or even head to head :

    Michael Spinks
    Matthew Saad Muhammad
    Victor Galindez
    Dwight Muhammad Qwai
    John Conteh
    Eddie Mustafa Muhammad
    Marvin Johnson

    I base this on number of quality wins.

    Qwai obviously beat Saad but I wouldn't say he had a better overall 175 lb resume, and he caught Saad at the right time.

    Talent wise, Conteh and Mustafa Muhammad were near the top, but were inconsistent.

    There are multiple rubs here ..

    At his best Mustafa may have been the most talented ..

    This is the type of group where styles really play out in head to head ..

    Any of them beat a prime Virgil Hill who has so many light heavyweight title defenses in a so much weaker era ..

    Conteh's career was going well until he broke his hand and decided to ditch his management and do it himself.
    Apart from that his partying lifestyle took it's it's toll by the end.
    I think at his best he's a big problem for any of them.
