    Taken from the Ring ratings.

    2007

    1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Juan Manuel Marquez
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Joe Calzaghe
    6. Israel Vazquez
    7. Miguel Cotto
    8. Ricky Hatton
    9. Ronald Wright
    10.Rafael Marquez

    2017 - current

    1. Andre Ward
    2. Sergey Kovalev
    3. Gennady Golovkin
    4. Roman Gonzalez
    5. Terence Crawford
    6. Vasyl Lomachenko
    7. Guillermo Rigondeaux
    8. Saul Alvarez
    9. Shinsuke Yamanaka
    10. Naoya Inoue

Going by those lists, would you say the state of boxing in a better state than 10 years ago, worse or around the same? How many names on the current list will go on to be future HOF's or even ATG's compared to 10 years ago?

I haven't seen too much of a couple of the lighter weight guys on each list, but overall I feel quality wise the lists are pretty equal especially as the 2017 fighters still have plenty more fights to further their respective legacies. Floyd and Pac are giants of boxing history but Crawford, Lomachenko and Rigondeux are A+, super-elite, rare talents.

Andre Ward should NOT be #1

Don't worry, he won't be for much longer. His '0' will go and I expect a KO is quite likely. Can't believe Kovalev is an underdog for this:greedy:.

The P4P list looks considerably better now, although I don't have Yamanaka or Canelo in my P4P top 10.
Lomachenko is the best of the bunch.
