Rooting for Groves but wouldn't put any money on it.

    This.

People are also completely overlooking the wins he's had since Froch. Everyone said he looked poor against Rebrasse but having watched Rebrasse v Callum Smith and Fielding that looks a great win now. It looks even better coming off such a devastating ko loss, highlights the fact that Groves is game and deserves more respect for it. He fought Rebrasse straight after a ko, Jack in Vegas on Mayweather show, Martin Murray then Gutknecht who'd been the distance twice with Braehmer at light heavy and could have been a massive banana skin. Everyone knew he had the shot at that time and he probably could have fought someone easier. On top of all this he fought Douglin who had his ****ing mar in his corner.

Seriously though, I think people give him a hard time because of how he was in the build up to the Froch fights. They think he's arrogant or something.

I think Groves will stop Chudinov late on. He's very unlucky not to have stopped both Murray and Gutknecht.

One of my favourite fighters groves. Rate him highly. But them vulnerabilities will and probably have stopped him achieving more. Hes not chinny but a bit like joshua things start to unroll a bit when he starts getting tagged. Stamina starts going. Starts getting sloppy.

Crying shame cause hes got a lot going for him in terms of ability. Could and would cause anyone problems. Hes still trying to trade inside tho. Everytime he tries to hook with the other guy it makes you think this is gonna end badly. He doesnt do it much but he does it enough to still be a problem. Needs to just diffuse these situation. Eg hold. Spoil it. Then get back to his boxing at range...where hes at his best.

I think he wins saturday tho.

Shane is overrated af. He should have just stuck with Booth. You don't fix something that's not broken. I don't trust him still. He has the talent to compete and beat anyone at 168 right now though.

I loved his arrogance. He's one of the best **** talkers in the game. If people thought Fury humiliating Wlad was bad, Groves was far worse but the difference is he got KTFO.

Chudinov is undersized with good power but basic skills.
Groves should take this on points comfortably.

I agree mate. I've never seen a grown man look so flustered by someone as Froch did throughout that build up. "you gonna cry Carl?" He played it perfect and wa so close to paying off. Respect to Froch for winning it but I do think that's still why many don't like Groves.

I hope Groves is able to win this one. He clearly needs to work on his stamina so he doesnt gas in the later rounds and throw it away on the cards. Skill wise with his great jab, he should be able to win most of the early rounds against a fighter like Chudinov

I dont know much about Chudinov so cant say much but I thought Groves has looked better recently. hoping he can pull out the win, he sounds a lot more mature these days in interviews. would be good for British boxing.

Well, if the weigh ins are anything to go by, i think its safe to say, Groves looks in the best shape of his life.

He did look alot leaner in all the interviews this week, but his muscle definition is far better than ive ever seen. He actually looked in great condition.

Its one thing i think Mcguigan can be commended for, is that none of his fighters go into the ring without being 100% fit and ready. McGuigan may be naive tactically, but his conditioning of the fighters is second to none.

Regarding what Groves told Froch or said about him it was all the truth but Froch being the egotistical man that he is couldn't comprehend it.

It's definitely true. I didn't like Groves for a while after the Froch fights because of how he acted in the build-ups. Just a bit too c0cky for my liking.

I'm well past that now though and hope he does the business on Saturday. The thought of 3 Brits being the best 3 SMWs is exciting stuff. If both him and Smith come through we are in for a treat finding out who's best.

I don't think Froch ruined him physically he hardly took punches let alone a beating both fights although a fair stoppage and a great one punch ko maybe mentally it derailed him
