I think this will be an amazing fight and I believe Kell Brook will prove to be a top 10 p4p star on Saturday night. The thing that I noticed today was Spence looked weight drained, eyes looked sunken, face drawn in. I actually think the unthinkable has happened and that is Kell has done the weight better than he has. Did anyone else notice Spence looking weight drained?

I think your looking for something that isnt really there. Like Kell it is no doubt abit of a struggle to make 147 for Spence but hes not the one who just thought at 160.

He certainly looks the smaller guy. I thought there was a significant difference today and kell still needs to rehydrate.

Spence is looking drained. With being young he,ll probably get away with it tho. What worries me more is what size hes gonna come into the fight at. Got a feeling hes gonna be as big if not bigger than kell.

Read that the contract calls for the fighters to not be allowed to rehydrate more than 157..................

Nope. The ibf have a mandatory fight day morning weigh in. I assume fighters will weigh in today (friday) 147 or below. They then will have to weigh in saturday morning probably before 10am and they are not allowed to be over 157. After that weigh in though they can then go on to weigh whatever they like in the ring. I think brook will be 162 in the ring, not too sure on spence. Has he done any previous fight night weights?

nothing of the kind, let's be honest Kell openly said he's had to lose 35lbs for this fight I'd suggest a good bit more than that and the hardest bit is the last 72 hours, of coarse that affects you in the ring fight night because no matter if you've crashed the weight 24-30 hours isn't enough time for the body to recover.
I also think your grasping at straws

Billy how can he of crashed the weight when he's been in camp for 16 weeks? Surely that's a fantastic amount of time to lose weight? He was also in camp for 16 weeks before the porter fight. I do agree though I think for both guys the weight doesn't appear like it will be an issue or have any impact on this fight

Spence has fought at welterweight all of his career and it has never been a problem, just because this is a big fight doesn't mean he suddenly cant make the weight well, he has looked fine in all of his fights and looks just as fine for this one.

He hasn't crashed the weight though. It's well documented that he's been around 150 for a week or more and was weighing 148 2 days prior to the presser.

Yes but maybe the travelling time zones have caused weight issues as he hasn't done it before

Billy thought Frankie Gavin would beat Kell lol so obviously he either doesn't rate him or can't see how good he is. The recent check weights show Kell has not drastically cut weight close to the fight.

Where did he say 35lbs? Greg Marriott, the nutritionist said that Kell started camp 10 weeks out at 173lbs, which is 26lbs to lose to make weight. A long way from the 35lbs+ you say.

I m not sure staying at these weights for too long is beneficial. In terms of being 148/150 for a few weeks. Could be wrong but always thought getting down to 147 on the day was the goal...you dont need to be as close to that weight for as long as they have been. Dont crash it but also dont stay there for as long. Would have thought it would be better for the body to sit at 153/4 for as long as possible before stripping the last 6 or 7 pounds the last couple of days before. But no sure how possible that is bearing in mind how hard it is to lose 6 or 7 lbs...when your bodies already depleted. No doubt there teams know what their doing. Brook looks healthier than spence at the weight at this minute in time tho for me.
