Not even close to being on a losing streak, I had Matty Askin with 3 losses KOing the unbeaten hot prospect Craig Kennedy in 6, well Askin brutally KO'd Kennedy in 6, and I also had Groves by way of stoppage over Chudinov on accumulation, and I was right about that as well. 2-1 in the last two days means I'm on a winning streak.
I gave Brook round 2, that was clear, rounds 1 and 5 were toss up, rest to Spence. 95-94 score is a disgrace.
Haters? Brook was slow, weak, didn't show any of what he had pre-GGG. In all honesty he was embarrassing. How is that hating on Spence? Spence himself said tonight he gave himself a B-. I'm just stating after tonight I wouldn't class Brook as 'world level' or Spence as 'Elite level'.
For sure I thought Brook find something out of nowhere after getting knocked down but according to Hearn and I'm not sure if he was referring to GGG fight or this but he said the Doc told him he could of lost his sight so I just think some folk should think on that and let it sink in,yes as fans we wanna see em go to war but come on I don't watch boxing to see em get permenantly damaged or blinded, why ask em to do something we'd never dream of doing? Anyway regardless of the result what about the fight eh,another great boxing match for 2017 and another in the UK which has seen a resurgence in boxing and it's all down to the quality of the match ups,I do feel we are finally leaving the Floyd Mayweather era behind as folk don't wanna see nailed on victorys they wanna see 50/50 fights and like the greats of the past who all won and lost against each other it shouldn't hurt their careers by having a loss or two.
Yeah, British commentators are horrible when it's British vs non-British fighter. It's the same in F1 with their Hamilton bias.
It was not boring at all if that is your position. It's quite asinine to be honest. Brook looked good early btw before he slowed down.
Pre-GGG? LOL so what has he showed pre-ggg? He's always been a counter puncher. That was teh exact same Brook. But I'm guessing you're a big little g fan so you're trying to discredit Spence wins since Spence clearly outperformed GGG. I agree that Spence's nerves got to him a bit though. It wasn't a perfect performance, but a clear dominant one. He fought dumb in round 2 especially.
based on what i just saw he is, spence didn't look anything too special tonight, brook was tagging him up in the first 6 rounds and brook looked a long way past his best tonight. brook of 2016 beats spence imo. there isn't anyone at welter that can live with spence's size, power and speed tho, he's physically very gifted...
They showed Froch's card midway and it was very biased. At least I feel good one of the judges saw it the way I did.
Brook didn't look good before though...not compared to his past fights. He looked slower, weaker and refused to throw any of his combinations. This was all before Spence even landed any kind of shot. I was impressed with neither fighter.....i'm not hating on one, i'm hating on both.
He won 2 4 5 6 and 7. Then Spence took over. I don't think weight was a factor. The winner was just a bit better.
I learnt my lesson with Thurman after the Porter fight to never doubt him again,he took it to Porter that night and showed us a genuine inside game with uppercuts, rope a dope and just good overall boxing IQ. I wonder though how long Spence will carry on trying to make 147 as it looks brutal on what looks like a proper middleweight.
