Fight went exactly as I predicted spence is the truth.

What is odd, though, is since Spence is a southpaw you would have thought the damage would have been to the right eye. The bigger shots were landed from Spence's left.

 

I respect you as a poster @Pimp C , we have both been on this forum for years. Brook has been my favourite fighter for the last couple of years. I am devastated right now. I've had too much to drink and I've just arrived home, it's 2am where I am.

I am absolutely divested for Brook. I feel he was controlling the fight. I need to watch it again first thing tomorrow. I am just gutted right now.

 

@Pimp C how do you rate Brook? I might be drunk right now, but I feel he is at least as good as Spence and Thurman and should be ranked accordingly.

 

I think Brook can beat Spence, am I mad? I felt like he was winning it.

 

Brook is a very good fighter. I think he would have beat Thurman tonight. Spence's bodyshots are just too vicious and he can fight out of the clinch. This is something Thurman cannot do well. Yes Thurman has ladned some vicious left hooks and taken guys out, but Spence is a CONSISTENT body puncher.

 

I'm really drunk right now. Let's resume this tomorrow. I feel like Brook was the better fighter tonight and can beat Spence. What do you think?

 

Did you watch it live in person or on TV? I only gave Brook round 2 and 5 up to the 7th. Though there were some close rounds in between 5 being one of them too. The fact that you're drunk could have played into thinking Brook was the better fighter, also the fact that you're a Brook fan though the same could be said about myself since I'm a Spence fan.
And sure. We can resume this tomorrow. Though most likely I'll be at work since it's nearly noon on Sunday where I live.

regardless of who you support spence deserves a **** ton of credit for risking it all and going to brooks backyard to fight when he simply did not need to

he truly knew he was the better man

Special K was landing the harder shots early on but things sure did change

 

Finally someone who doesnt sound like a teen girl with a crush on the quarterback. Some of the posts im reading hear give me the runs. It amazing that for the first time that i can think of i cant support a fighter that i really like because his fanbase is already obnoxiously annoying. The hyperbole of his performance today is simply laughable and you nailed it in describing his fans.

 

Brook fought very well the first half of the fight. In fact both showed tremendous skills. I thought after the first round it might be a long night for Spence but it seemed by round six he started settling in. The body punching and picking up the pace helped Spence get Brook out of his comfort zone. Brook is a strong fighter and highly skilled technician in the ring. Spence showed he has a chin and just kept coming at Brooks body. I didn't know about the left eye getting busted up like the right eye in the GGG fight until a few minutes ago. He still has fight left in him if he can get that eye healed up.

 

Yup, I'm home now. I had Brook 5-1 up after 6 which I know is going to be a controversial/bias scorecard. I need to re-watch it tomorrow.

I just can't believe it. The last time I supported a fighter was Calzaghe and it's been a long time since I had something to be positive about and I felt Brook is it.

Just devastated right now.
