I know your a massive Canelo fan, and I believe and a lot of people on this forum believe that the two fighters tonight would beat that guy. This isn't Amir Khan, James Kirkland, Liam Smith or Chavez Jr we are talking about hehe.
No, it was a guy named after a cereal. Canelo would eat him for breakfast. And stop trying to rally the haters to your aid, it's pretty bitchlike.
I genuinely think that both fighters tonight would beat Canelo quite comfortable. His attributes vs Spence/Brook don't stack up well.
Props to Brook for losing bravely to two exceptional fighters, but Canelo would have had no more trouble with Brook than they did and likely less.
Considering how much trouble Kell gave Spence, this thread title gives no credit to either boxer. Pathetic really. Kell is obviously a very good boxer, I'd still back him against most opponents. Spence showed he can adjust to win a fight, that's some serious world class stuff.
lol brook does not beat a canelo brook is a fraud who has been pro since 2004 but has only 3 real fights on his record 2 of his 3 fights have ended in him quitting or the towel being thrown in by the corner the 1 fight he actually won against a top 10 fighter, some saw it as a draw brook is done at elite level, he quits more times than not, fact
Extremely good fighter, gave a class showing and got beat by the best up and comer in the sport. Don't do Spence a disservice by denigrating Brook. Brook is still the second best welter in the world in my eyes, this was a hell of a win for Errol.
Rocking him? Define that. Was Spence staggering or on rubbery legs? That to me is getting rocked, and I didn't see that at all in this fight. He landed some decent punches sure, but that doesn't mean he rocked him. Pretty much every time Brook landed something decent Spence would come back with something decent of his own. It was a consequence of Spence's withering body shots. Everyone who knows boxing knows that when you go to the body early and often, it pays dividends later on by slowing the opponent down, and that's exactly what happened here.
brook is exactly what a #2 or #3 ranked fighter was 50 years ago, and he performed like a #2 would perform against the top dog. beating what would amount to a #5 ranked fighter in porter, does not make him #1 and a lock to beat the rest. thats why fights like these are made, to prove who the best is, inside the ring and not in the popularity polls.
Discrediting Brook for losing a good, competitive fight? That does no one any favors. If Brook isn't high-caliber, that would mean Spence isn't anything special either, since he struggled with Brook for quite some time.
What's special about him is that he dares to take risky fights. He could have taken the easier route of feasting on bums like GGG did throughout his entire career, but he decided otherwise and for that he surely won't be appreciated.
'Special' Yeah, in his ego. One fight of note and over hyped. I wonder how many of his calls that hearn will be taking from brook now that the eye has effectively ended his career. I didn't see spence rocked at all maybe it was another fight that was on.
