I'm surprised his corner didn't rescue him like they did in the GGG fight. He was clearly distressed by the eye in the last round and they should have picked up on that and come in the ring to stop it rather than making him take a knee like that and risk being labeled a quitter

Brooks got walked down. He was getting beat up pretty good. It was "no mas" all day long.

I would have no hesitation quitting if my eye was messed up badly and at risk especially when you can't win anyway.

Those 'tough guys' who call out professional boxers about their toughness probably squeal like little girls when they find a spider in their bathtub.

These jackoffs bumping their gums about Kell taking a knee need to shut the **** up. I'm a heavyweight and if and when my contacts lens pop out during sparring I call time. Only a dumbass would fight blind. Especially a heavyweight.

It definitely impacted his rep until the world found out Margarito was loading his gloves.

He went out on his shield as champ...didn't need to end up blind in his left eye.

its ok for any fighter to lay it down when he fears his future is at risk. its also ok for fans to love those that wouldnt lay it down.

Hearns said that Brook broke his eye socket in the seventh round. Has that been confirmed?

Not sure why some of you are so defensive about this. Under the circumstances, most of us would have done the same thing, but let's call a spade a spade. It was a quit job, no need to sugar coat it.
