I doubt it's Golovkins fault Brook lost this fight. At least not directly cuz' the man just seams to have very fragile bones. I do believe he's responsible indirectly. Any other guy who packs a punch could've broken Kells face (Spence is weaker than G, still did it), but because it did get broken once he decided to take the knee rather than go down that road the second time. (still did though)
He knew damn well what state his face was in around rd 2 vs Golovkin and still recklessly waved at Genady to come have some more. We didn't see that "brave" or more likely stupid Brook against Spence. Once he felt the same **** happening again, he got scared and there's no shame in that.



On a more positive note, Kell will have 2 metal plates in his face now. That should make him more durable
Khan be like "man, how do I get one of those bad boys on my chin".

 

Wait until Jacobs next fight to make that determination!

i've been a Brook fan only since the Golovkin fight (i saw the Porter fight but was not impressed)--because he took the fight and fought hard.

and i lost a fair sum (for me, anyway) on this fight: i would have bet on Brook at even money, so the odds on this fight just seemed too good not to load up.

since yesterday i've been making excuses in my head to account for the result, but after reading your post, bottom line for me is that i just underestimated how good is Spence

 

I think that Jacobs will actually become a better fighter with more confidence.

 

Is that your opinion or the official card. That can't be right Brook dominated the first 6. As for the rest of it well it doesn't matter he chose to go to 160 and fight GGG if it affected is performance so be it.

where do you guys get the "he dominated the first six"? too many of you dont know what the hell youre watching. rewatch the fight and look how long it took for spence to find that eye every time he threw the hard jab... 2 rds. he smashed the hell out of it in the 3rd and 4th rds. watch the footage in between the 4th and 5th rds, that eye is already puffing up.

As usual you'll have extremes on either side. Some will say the GGG fight had nothing to do with Brook's peformance, and some will say the GGG fight had everything to do with Brook's performance. And, as usual, the truth lies somewhere inbetween.

We'll never know how much better Brook would have done, but here's to hoping for more fights where it's the best vs the best.

If fights like Brook vs Spence were the norm then we wouldn't have ridiculous fights like Brook vs GGG which are terrible for the sport of boxing.

 

Roughly the same as me PimpC had it 4-2 for Spence after 6 that's wrong. Not that it really matters end result Spence KO 11.
