I agree but I think fighters should also move up naturally. In the case of Thurman, Spence and Porter, they are fighting at 147 because of the possibility of the payday against Floyd. Similar to how Robert Guererro, Maidana, Victor Ortiz and Danny Garcia moved up to try and get the Floyd money.

They are also fighting at 147 because they can make the weight without sacrificing performance. At a higher weight they would be up against guys with more height, reach, natural weight and strength.

Yet another trolling thread full of excuses for Brook and discredit to Spence. That's okay, many predicted these would come in if Spence won. No big deal.

    Aye Golovkin ruined Brook

But Spence still impressed. He was doing pretty well against a special fighter in Brook even before the Golovkin damage started to come into play and effectively ended the fight

Thought he also came across really well in the post fight interview

Brooks a fine fighter that in my opinion had more success dominating small pockets of offensive spurts versus GGG when compared to The Spence fight. Spence just adjusted well and decided to implement some unbridled aggression and explosive combinations as a resort of back and forth jab chess match they had early on.

The excuses from the resident haters on these boards comes as no surprise....I don't believe Kell requires the pathetic reasoning from the sour apologists that really just hate Spence and what he represents more than they are fans of Kell Brook.

Exactly. They were the same with Wlad. Just went for him because they're AJ haters. Nothing new.

Spence needs to fight Canelo before he`s proved himself, he started really bad against Brook!

I agree with you but the chess match was being won by Brook hopefully Spence learns from this because he looked awful for 6 rounds.

I think Spence is overrated but his jab landed well in this fight and would land it all night long against Khan whenever Khan doesn`t clinch!

Well as a Sheffielder and a Brook fan it's a tough pill to swallow. The American future star who's constantly being hyped up beating your guy in your city!
But credit where credit is due, I even had Spence up at the time of stoppage. Really impressed with how he composed himself given the atmosphere

Its very hard to look good when youre in with a fighter the caliber of Kellathian Brook

Golovkin and the weight were the turning points in the fight

Without those two huge issues, Spence would have been stopped

Fair assessment Brooks timing was better so I can certainly see how one could give him the edge for the first half. I think people fail to mention Kell's wrapping up when Errol would find an offensive rhythm really stifled attack. It was an excellent fight without tons of blood and guts looking at it in retrospect.

Totally understandable my man, Kell is an excellent technician there's no questioning that, his timing is impeccable this fight showed me Errol can adjust to adversity and find another level because Brook showed he was the more polished boxer.
