Agreed. It's just a shame for Danny he's damaged goods now. He put in a very creditable effort but GGG took at least 75% out of him just with all those ramrod jabs.
I don't understand the hate for Jacobs. I don't like some of the stuff he has come out with since the GGG fight but he did make it a very competitive fight and I am prepared to cut him some slack considering he has always come across as a cool person in the past, obviously he is going to see the Golovkin fight from a biased perspective considering he made it a lot closer than expected. I find Virgil Hunter as creepy and unlikeable as anybody and Andre Ward has really started to rub me up the wrong way but it seems a bit unfair to lump him in with those weirdos just because he trained with them. If it is the PED allegations then that is even worse, are people really still pretending that their favourite fighters are squeaky clean and only their opponents who perform well are juicing?
If history has shown us anything... One doesn't come back from cancer to world level shape without a lot of ****ing help.
And how heavy was his opponent? I could be wrong but I remember him being a LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT 15 hours before the fight.
You're stupid Bro.! You think he ONLY put on 60 lbs. of pure muscle in a day and a half? My sources tell me he went from 160 on Friday afternoon to 277 during the fight! The rumor was if he finished GGG off fast enough he was going to fly to the NFL Combine and try to catch on with somebody as a middle linebacker!
So let me see if I'm understanding this pure brilliance like I think I am, Dawg, but you have to be patiend with me I am clearly not on your level of intellect: Gennady Golovkin weighed in at 7 am the day of the fight at 169.8 and FIFTEEN HOURS LATER fought a 170 lbs.; Danny Jacobs, who skipped the morning weigh in, weighed in the same as Golovkin the day before, and fought at 220 lbs. So they were 1 1/2 inches apart in weight and FIFTY POUNDS apart in weight? Well Bro, I'm not going to say you're wrong, but If you're right I can promise you two things: 1) Abel Sanchez is the stupidest M-F ON THE PLANET for letting his fighter go into the biggest fight of his life not having drank or eaten more than a donut hole or a half a bottle of water in 15 hours, and should NEVER train another fighter. 2) Virgil Hunter and Andre Rozier so brilliant, they won't be training boxers for long because the NFL is going to QUADRUPLE their salaries! Dude the NY Jets Offensive line will be 450 lbs. of pure muscle with great stamina! Dude, when they play another team it's going to look like NBA vs. the MonStars!
