    In addition to the brain injury Magomed sustained in the Perez fight, he also broke his upper jaw, his nose and hand. The injury to his nose or jaw occurred in round one after taking a vicious accidental forearm/elbow to the face. You could see he was clearly distressed and concerned about it because he kept touching his face and looking at the big screen to see how bad it was when he returned to his corner. He would go onto to voice his concerns to his corner regarding the injuries he sustained later on in the fight too.

    Its about levels. Some people can take alot more punishement than others. Brook cant take much punishment simple as. He quit as soon as GGG landed a good punch on him and now against Spence. And if any one brings up Cotto again to compare it to this I will punch them in the face. Cotto was getting battered by a guy who had illegal **** in his gloves.

    brook is tough, he won a world title, didnt he? thats good. but hes a transient title holder, bitpart, . so far anyway, but so far its one world title win, and an immediate loss as soon as he fought someone world class.

    what brook needs is to work on his defense, get it to world level. its not about any other attribute.. at the moment its just a series of clinches. thats inadequate against a good opponent where clinching is penalised for undue use.

    Why are people attacking the OP? Brook did quit, it's a fact. What does it mean to quit if it's not what Brook did?

    I think doing what Margarito does is stupid btw. **** permanent damage for fans and your pride.

    Bur facts are facts, Kell quits. Vitali also quit, for example.

    It's ok for people to say Ortiz quits but not Kell? Ortiz had a ****ed up eye vs Maidana and a broken jaw vs Josesito, but he's a ***** apparently.

    Firstly, Brook didn't quit in the GGG fight his corner threw the towel in.

    Secondly, Brook suffered two potential career threatening injuries with a chance of going blind than worse.

    i wouldnt call it stupid. all fighters are aware of the legacy they will leave behind once they are gone, and some fighters want to be remembered for uncommon valor, bordering on insanity. margs will forever be remembered, among other things, as a fighter who had absolutely no quit in him. a constant beating leading to a broken face and the man is still walking towards you smiling and chucking leather... thats special. its the reason american indians counted coup and why soldiers rush machine gun nests, because they are braver than us.

    Anyway you slice he quit. He said no mas, but there are levels to quitting, he didnt fold in the first sign of adversity like a Walters but knew the writing was on the wall, his eye was messed up and he didnt wanna get stretched out in front of his fans. He did what he had to do, I can't judge him as I don't know if i would carry on in his shoes.
