interesting fight that would give answer for both fighters, but it wont happen. They have to build their profile and fight someone known in their own market before facing each other. Charlo will probably wait for GGG to move up before he starts to make serious noise and Eubank is doing it already. Charlo will first fight at least three, maybe five fights against top 10-50 fighters, before taking top 5 fighters. It´s a really tough question what Jr. does because he has already burned all the bridges and faced all the domestic names. He wont face any belt holders either division, at 160 nor 168. Maybe he could face some Aussie like Geale or Mundine...
Who has Charlo ever beaten? Not a knock as he's one of my favorites but Eubank jr would have rocked Julian Williams as well.
Doubt it. Eubank Jr wouldn't be able to make 154. I don't get why you UK fans hype up guys that have beaten no one of note. Then when they finally step up they get exposed.
This. Eubanks has done nothing since losing to BJS. Beating Quinlan for the IBO 168 belt isn't very impressive.
Thats cool. But again what has Eubank done to prove he is top level. I mean, BJS isn't all that to be losing to.
Eubank looks like a talented fighter but he hasn't really fought solid competition at MW besides Saunders. So it's a bit hard to assess how good he really is until he steps up his level of competition. Charlo looks the part of a very good fighter, he had two impressive wins against Trout (who looked as good as I've ever seen him in a ring,) and the dangerous Williams. Let's see how he looks at 160 lbs and if he's able to carry his power with him (which I think he will.) If he sharpens up his defense a bit, I could see him being a dominant MW. He has the frame to become a very big, strong MW if he conditions himself properly.
Eubank stated he'll fight anywhere between 160-175 for big fights...but who believes a word this guy says? Yes he's talented and my brain says Eubank would beat Charlo in the parallel universe where he found his pen. Would be a great matchup
Any news on Eubank and itv ppv? If they gave him the flick then he really seems to have cornered himself in the British scene with warren & Hearn not willing to work with him
Like @PimpC said, I'd like to wait and see how good Jermall is at MW before making my final decision, that being said, even if he does well, CEJ while I don't rate him all that highly, he would still be no walk in the park, because I don't think Charlo is on Saunders level, and he gave Saunders the toughest test of his pro career. If Charlo's power doesn't carry up however, I could see Chris walking right through him.
Good fight two bosses going at it may the better man win. Jermall is the future of 160 and CEJ is a 168lber now, can't see Jr fighting anyone but GGG @ 160 now tbh
