25 wins 18 by k.o, yes soft hitter 100%. am sure you would take one clean and stand there?? People on here jeez. We will go with your logic then, Fury stopped Hammer and Price could not so Price cant punch either.
Agreed!! But I think I'm in a very small minority that think Lampley is ok. It's probably because I'm comparing him to Merchant and Kellerman. Wish Manny was still here!
Fury was the closest I guess. It's a real pity, often the "heel" is the one to bring in big viewership and media. Look at Floyd, I doubt many of the people buying his PPVs were paying to admire his defensive skill or ability to pot shot; they paid for the chance that somebody was going to punch the smug look off his face. I'd love to see one of the rising stars like Crawford, Loma or Joshua really play the villain with trash talk and antics. Of them I think Crawford would be the best at it, the way he clowns on guys and really seems to enjoy heaping punishment on them is a good start.
Fury isn't a villian really though is he? He is the truth. A bombastic truth. Wilder is the villain atm because he keeps fighting STIFFS and claims he is the best. Total bum squad. Lots of people want to see him get beat.
Ward is a villain to the fans and his opponents. Look how Kovalev only started really hating him after he got robbed. Not turning up to scheduled pre-fight meetings, face-offs and conferences. Renegotiating a rematch clause and threatening to retire. Claiming he was knocked down by Darnell Boone of an illegal punch. Him and his team using dastardly tactics about John David Jackson wanting to leave Kovalev and join Ward two weeks fore the rematch. Making his team send out messages that he was forced to move up to 175 by HBO. Threatening to show an email to any camera that would listen only to say it would be 'unprofessional' when actually be asked to show it. Also he is the opposite of a fan friendly fighter. Rigo is also a bit of a villain in this regard too. Tony Bellew - His annoying attitude is that of a villain hidden behind the facade of him being a family man. None of these guys come close to Mayorga though. He was/is a nasty piece of work. I heard he does some very nice charitable things for Nicaragua though.
Why would anyone think of a God fearing person like Ward as the villain. A guy who has outclassed most people he has fought still says good things about them. Ward is a class act in and out of the ring.
