Dude, I did this one about a year ago. We're almost identical on scores. How is it the judges couldn't see it if you and I are almost exact?

    Livingstone Bramble vs. Oba Carr

Round 1: 10-7 Bramble (Carr down twice this round)
    Round 2: 10-9 Carr
    Round 3: 10-9 Carr
    Round 4: 10-10 Even
    Round 5: 10-9 Carr
    Round 6: 10-9 Bramble
    Round 7: 10-10 Even
    Round 8: 10-9 Bramble
    Round 9: 10-9 Bramble
    Round 10: 10-9 Bramble

    Total: 97-93 Bramble

Officially this was a split decision for Carr. But I cannot make a case for Carr in this one. After 5 five rounds he would only fight in spurts - winning the early part of a round and then succumbing to Bramble's body blows and simply hanging on. I love Carr's stylish boxing, but Bramble was robbed.

Michael Dokes vs. Mike Weaver II

Felt Weaver deserved this when I first saw it way back when. Didn't score it back then, but was running a tally in my head. Anyways, here we go.

    Round 1: 10-9 Dokes
    Round 2: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 3: 10-9 Dokes
    Round 4: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 5: 10-9 Dokes
    Round 6: 10-10 Even
    Round 7: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 8: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 9: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 10: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 11: 10-9 Dokes
    Round 12: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 13: 10-10 Even
    Round 14: 10-9 Weaver
    Round 15: 10-9 Weaver

    Total: 146-141 Weaver

Obviously I still feel Weaver deserved it, but I will say that last five rounds became very sloppy and it's up to the one scoring on whether they see it for the harder puncher or one scoring with a bit more frequency.

I remember seeing that one. I think they were showing the official scoring between rounds. I don't think it had been done before. Might of been after every three rds.

Al, the only time I had seen that done before was the world title fight between Jose Napoles and Clyde Gray. It becomes redundant when you pretty much know who will win down to the last few rounds, other than enjoying it of course if its a good fight.

I had it 7 - 5 for Pac (same as yours but with round 12 to Pac).

6-6 is reasonable, maybe even 5-7 at a stretch.

I was a bit annoyed that the ref didn't warn Horn about careless control of his head, the constant armlocks and headlocks, and the hitting while holding and on the breaks.

All that said, before this fight, I would have bet on Pac over anybody at 140 or 147. Now, I doubt if he'd beat Thurman, Spence or Crawford.

    He's slipped quite a bit.

The Pac of Cotto or even the Pac of Mosley would have had Horn out of there in a few rounds, even in the face of rough/dirty play. At 38, his time might have run out.

    Did you watch Ward-Kovalev 2 ?

How did you have it at the time of stoppage, and what did you think of the stoppage?
