It's not perfectly landed which is why it doesn't follow through all the way, and sort of glides off his head. But those punches can be deceptively effective, especially when they land on the temple like that. And to me, it clearly messes his rhythm, and if I had to guess, he's concentrating on not showing Evander that it stung him. But he goes from hyper awareness to reacting to punches, to eating a jab and seemingly reacting slowly right after. Usually when I hear a fighter is hurt, I expect them to be hanging on, wobbly, woozy or something to that nature. If I was being delicate with my words, I would say Tyson got stung and weathered it well.
There's no space, Tyson was closer than he anticipated than Tyson ducks and goes into his close quarter guard, his shoulder and arm leading. Holyfield gets no extension on it, and just kind of swipes with it, elbow bent. It doesn't appear to land to me in real time and slow motion confirmed that it graced his neck area. I feel Tyson was befuddled by Evander's shuffle after the missed left hook.
I agree with you 80% of the time. But not this time. I bet we can find a better quality version which could help!
That's an issue there, you see when I ran it through the program I could see it smoothly, but the export and post downgraded the hell out of it. If you don't have a slow mo program, I would just got to youtube and adjust the speed to the slowest setting. Either way, even if it landed, I don't see a case for Tyson being hurt. In the other thread, they were saying, "Tyson had a stare" "showed self doubt" "Looked spooked" And all that happens is he ducks Evander's left hook, and gets surprised when Evander pulls a Hector Camacho and shuffles behind him. Now about 15 seconds later, Evander throws a double left hook. Tyson ducks the first but gets caught hard with the second. You can hear it, Tyson is rocked backwards, and the crowd erupts. That is a clear as a day scored power shot that effected Mike.
Yeah I saw that watermark on your video. That makes sense. If you need help getting a legit video editor PM me. I'll look for and post a better quality version when I get to my laptop later.
He clearly felt it, and seemed to have a dazed look on his face, and kind of stumbled backwards. How bad it hurt him nobody will know. He clearly felt the punch though.
I find it amusing that you can't even see his face. Evander shuffled behind him and he reacted to that. Tyson is like a statue after the alleged punch.
The punch lands it's as clear as daylight, how the hell you can dispute this is beyond me. You're digging yourself in deeper and deeper, just give best pal.
I don't need to see a slide show, you can see just fine in the video clip. I could see just fine when I watched it live on TV over 20 years ago.
The punch don't hit Mike's head and there is no wiggle room on this. Interesting none the less, how everyone saw something different. I can understand that. Even using stop motion, I can see how the eye might be fooled but there is no doubt Tyson's shoulder stops it. The claims that Mike was clearly hurt though.....given the punch didn't land. That's fascinating. https://streamable.com/g0gs6
