This fight showed the importance of a chin, had Holloway been glass chinned Aldo would've gotten the early KO

Somebody finally exposed Aldo's two round gas tank. The head movement and footwork goes bye bye once he starts suckin wind. Holloway had the height and length to move in once that happened.

When has Aldo KOd someone with just punches though? Probably before his UFC days no?

Mendes was the only legit knockout he's had in the UFC and that was with the knee. Aldo isn't renowned for 1 punch KO power but he can hit hard and he was tagging Holloway with some big counters early on.

Yup, but then once that two round tank emptied, he becomes more flat footed, and not as elusive. Holloway used that length to get to him. It's more than likely what would have happened in the McGregor fight, had McGregor not clobbered him right off the bat.

What the hell was Aldo complaining about afterward? He was defending well on the ground, but then he turtled up, and just laid their in a ball covering up. That **** is like turning your back to your opponent. Big John even talked to him along the way telling him to show him something. Holloway was missing most of the strikes, but when you are just turtled up in a little ball, you don't leave the ref much choice.

It sucks to see Aldo lose like that without having thrown one hard leg kick. He's not a boxer, not sure why he got rid of his hard leg kicks. It would have helped keep Holloway honest, instead of just allowing him to walk in there. Aldo in trying to conserve his gas tank, is much too laid back. Can't imagine the WEC Aldo not taking Holloway's head off when he put his hands down and taunted him.

I see Edgar troubling Holloway. Edgar has the gas tank that Aldo doesn't. He's smaller than Aldo, but I think he matches up well with Holloway. Holloway is hittable, and Edgar will also take him down.
