He fought the exact same Sergio Murray fought. Thats the only reason Roach and Cotto took the fight.
His knee was finished after the surgery , an injury he took in the Martinez fight.
They saw he was a one legged fighter who couldn't generate power any longer.

Thats is the same Martinez that Murray couldn't beat. Murray is a can. A guy who does enough to lose every time he steps up.
Hopkins had 20 wins better than him. You have to big Murray up for the sake of your agenda because you are a mickey mouse fanboy.

    Nope, wrong, dumbass. YDKSAB.:drooling:

    Try this:

"He then had another knee surgery to fix the problem, and that kept him out of the ring for 14 months until his fight against Cotto. The knee surgery obviously didn’t fix the problem because he was unable to move around like he’d done before his knee injury in 2012."

and this is how bad his knee had become:

"That was the fight where Martinez’s surgically repaired right knee wobbled each time he was hit hard by Cotto. Even when he wasn’t getting hit, Martinez moved around like someone whose knee wasn’t in good shape. He didn’t look like he belonged in the ring with a knee that unstable."

He had a SECOND knee op after Murray and over a year's layoff before he fought Cotto.

I suppose you're going to argue a shattered knee and long layoffs are GOOD for a fighter, now?

You have proven your manifest ignorance.

Please do something useful and go toss Bernard's salad already. :eaea:

In training for his next fight against Martin Murray, Martinez reinjured his knee. Instead of canceling the fight, Martinez went out and fought with the bad knee. He won the fight by a 12 round decision, but he didn’t look good.

He was on one leg against Murray . That is an absolute fact. Its why Cotto took the fight . They saw a finished one legged man in the ring who was there to be beaten by anybody not named Martin Murray.

you dragged another thread down into an insult war yet again. Learn something about the sport and maybe you might be able to win a debate for once in your life. Nobody wants to read your paragraphs of juvenile humour less insults

Notice the dancing pink elephants? I put them there so that you would read what's between them ^

He was even worse against Cotto. That is an absolute fact. Its why Cotto won the fight . They saw a finished one legged man in the ring who was there to be beaten because he'd had another knee surgery and another year layoff.

    Ummm. Remember these?

"I know you don't follow boxing"
"you only ever saw him against Golovkin."
    "YDKSA Bernard Hopkins"
    "You'll just pick whitey anyway."

You must be the dumbest twat to ever stumble through these boards :ohno

I beat you like a ****ing drum every time you tangle with me. This is just the latest iteration. But you love getting your balls kicked in, and I love bouncing them off the back of your windpipe. :patadaenwevs: I guess we were made for each other. :rosstheboss

Didn't read.. Are you denying he was one legged against Murray. A simple yes or no will suffice.
