    Part of the problem here is that Alvarez is taking step-aside money all the time & doesn't seem hungry in fighting for Stevendon's belt despite him saying so. So unless someone beats Alvarez, Stevenson is always going to have that cusion (Alvarez) protecting his belt.

    So what we need is someone to cone along & defeat Alvarez and then become Stevenson's mandatory. Someone hungry like the Nail or Bivol, etc.

    So are you saying that there is no real champ at this moment? If Ward beats Kovalev basically the same way this time that he did in the previous fight will he be the real champ? If Kovalev gets the nod in a controversial rematch will he be the real champ? I don't understand the logic.

    There is no consensus champ right now because of the manner of the first fight of Ward/Kov.
    I'd say it was Ward but I also believe that you have to beat the champ to take the titles, that's why I'd say its up in the air. At the end of the saga, the consensus champ would be the one who gets the decision if they have a case for it.

    alvarez is a threat imo. but i get wut your saying . its not like im picking alvarez to beat adonis. but i think alvarez is at youthful age and that might help him out. but old age in boxing i dont pay attention to it as much anymore.

    So you are saying that Alvarez is stevesons gate keeper... unless the WBC orders it with no step aside money... they ordered Canelo to fight ggg... so instead of fighting he vacated...

    Alvarez must be making decent money lol

    Alvarez just won his 4th title eliminator for a shot at Stevenson. If that fight doesn't happen Stevenson should be stripped of his title once and for all.
