Well, yeah, he might as well take the rematch. It's money.
Don't be surprised if he loses.

Not sure what "fully fit" means in David Haye's case these days. He's been damaged goods for years. He's totally failed to adapt his style to his condition and even getting through a moderated training camp must wreak havoc on him mentally, nevermind the physical toll.

Don't complain if he goes into a rematch less than 100% and is unable to improve on last time. Yes, it makes sense for him to take the fight for the money, so don't criticize him for 'cheating the fans' if it turns out he's not able to overcome the reality of his chronic injuries and age.

McGuigan probably didn't want to go along with another farcical, pre fight build up (drinking cocktails/nightclubs/hot tubs/Miami etc).

Yes, although McGuigan is a bit of an arse hole he has said that he doesn't like all the screaming and shouting at press confrences etc, hence why he and Frampton work well together.

The fact that Bellew looked as giddy has Glitter on a bouncy castle when Haye weighed in at over 16 stone, spoke volumes. You're absolutely right, he was way too big for his frame. If he could just sacrifice a stone of muscle (easier said than done) he could have a mini renaissance has he would take the pressure off his frame and be more mobile and fast. And like CTF says, he could win a world title again off a weaker heavyweight.

He's always making sly digs at Eddie Hearn in interviews, i'm not an eddie hearn fanboy and its probably just banter but i cant think of a time when Eddie Hearn has bad mouthed shane but shane seems to bad mouth hearn, and the way he was so cocky and a bit rude to coldwell in the build up to haye bellew.

The moment McGuigan threw the towel in it was obvious he would never work in the corner of a David Haye fight ever again.

Why did Haye and Shane prior to the fight keep saying Haye would be significantly lighter than he was for his comeback fights? He was the same weight.

He looked leaner in the photos in the buildup. I was expecting him to come in at 15 stone the way they were talking so I was amazed that he came in at that weight cos I felt he lacked that blistering speed and footwork in the two fights the previous year.

you are 100% right, couldn't agree more. Probably a jealousy thing too, these lot in the PAST up to noe have put on average shows with poor crowds. Bellew doing haye in only adds to the cyclone bitterness

one thing that surprised me was the popularity difference in ohara and taylor. Taylor way more dislikes than likes whereas ohara way more likes! ohara is a pantomime villan, taylor and co are nobs.
