Why do so many people think Thurman would beat Brook?

thurman has equal or faster hand speed to brook

thurman's footwork will make it hard for brook to get into a rythym

brook has good, but porous defense

both are soft to the body but kell never throws body shots

 

Brook is not that good. He's mostly a light hitting shoeshiner. Thurman's not great either, but he actually beat Porter instead of being gifted a win over him. Plus I think stylistically Thurman outboxes and outpunches Brook. Can anyone picture Thurman going life and death with Carson Jones? I can't.

 

Say what you want, but your self ownage on all things boxing speaks for itself.

 

I would fancy/bet Thurman, if Brook hadn't just been demolished in consecutive fights it is a much harder call to make but Thurman will be much fresher and less worn. I hope this fight gets made if Kell stays at welter but 'One Time' has business with Spence so any Brook showdown should be on the back burner behind that unification fight. Both get quite underrated at times but they are great all rounders with good feet and good power, Thurman would be giving up size and Brook has shown a great chin albeit a glass face which evens up things a little more but I give the hippie the edge in versatility, plus Keith has shown a very smart, disciplined ring I.Q. so all in all I make him a slight favourite.

It's a shame, but at this point ,all he's gotta' do is pick an eye and go to work. Brook is done at elite level.

 

I think Thurman beats Brook before the beatings and even easier now. He also beats Spence. Spence can not deal with movement at all!!! He also got hurt several times by Brook who doesnt hit as hard as KT. One sided decision for ONe time. Thurman beat Garcia, he beat Porter. The only guy i see beating Thurman is Crawford when he moves up and thats only if Crawford can take a punch. If he can then his skill should be enough to get him the win.

 

At this point Thurman kos Brook. Brook also showed some flaws in the ring that would get him killed against a boxer/puncher like KT. Brook got beat down by two guys who dont move nowhere near the level of kt.

 

I am British and I think Thurman beats Brook at 147 but Brook beats Thurman at 154.

 

Are you sure you weren't watching the Kevin Bizier fight? Brook actually did win that one.

 

Thurman doesn't box like Spence, He has his own set of skills which create a complete different set of problems

He's the most athletic WW and can box circles round you for 12 rounds. Brook would have to chase him and turn it into a fight
