How much different would the May-Pac fight be if it were 2009 opposed to 2015?

not surprised in the least you have no idea how to interpret what anyone says. your conclusion is just as silly as the trolls that claim fmj was petrified of A marg while telling him to win a couple fights and you'll get a shot.

I guess that's basically telling him he's never getting a shot. once he reached contender level he couldn't put a string of wins together, but that's fmj fault

Pac would have won. 2009 Pac was a fearless, iron chinned machine. Floyd fought a shell of a man, whos soul was knocked out by Marquez and fire taken away by religion.

Pac's recklessness gave Floyd a slight chance for a KO, so perhaps I was too categorical. lets say 90-10 in favor of pac.

Floyd is definitely the better older fight. Prime for prime, I think Pac would take it.

The only difference is the year. This fight would always have the same result lol.

It would have been a more decisive win for Floyd. The older Floyd would have had an easier time with years shaved off.

2015 Pac had to outbox Mayweather and with injuries and the lack of killer instinct due to the Marqueerz KO. It was interesting to see Pac being so much smaller yet using his timing and diminished reflexes counter Floyd time and time again, the problem was obviously we saw a completely faded Pac box Floyd, a 2009 Pacquaio was a buzzsaw, non stop punches, granite jaw, KO power and speed/reflexes beyond the 2015 Pac.
Floyd is like Hopkins in that his physical abilities don't matter as he is defence/timing/spoiling, we will ignore the saline PED masking and just look at both version of Floyd to see nothing really changed, he always pot shotted, always on the backfoot and minimal output.

Floyd did try and walk down Pac as he realised he was vastly bigger but we saw what happened when Pac countered him with a straight left, Floyd went back into full defence mode and threw the idea out that he could trade with Pac.

I see a few people trying to say Floyd vs Marqueerz is the Floyd we should judge.

Marqueerz showed up juicy, round and fat, he had little to no motivation and jumped up 2 weight classes looking lethargic. Ricky Hatton now would have looked like a buzzsaw against that Marquerz and probably looked defensively amazing. It was basically a statue.

We also have to remember Floyd was looking pretty bad before that, even at times having his head bounced by C class Hatton. Floyd took a 2 year break, a lot of people say because of the competition around that period, but I also believe he was probably on high doses of HGH and other PED's which is why he looked so big and came back unable to make weight against Marqueerz, his team hadnt got the management right with the extra ped in his system, not they have and they use saline to mask things.

We have to remember even with the biased compustats and judges Pac outboxed Floyd and hurt him, this is a Pac far removed from his 2009 self, if a 1 armed shot to pieves bloated Pac could do that, the prime version was rightly avoided for a reason.

Yes I still think Floyd would have won due to the reach difference but it would've been a much better treat to the fans and set up a rematch or even a trilogy. They both had a hand in screwing this up but Floyd much more so, he was the king and could have made the fight anytime he wanted if you really get down to it. For such an astute businessman they could've made a lot more money so you have to think Floyd's reluctance is what prevented it. It should have been this generations Leonard/Duran instead we got a dud
