Jacobs is and always been a talented fighter. Hence why he received so much hype when he turned over. But unfortunately for him and his fans he's damaged goods now. Badly damaged aka shot to bits. The amount of jabs alone he ate during the GGG fight has ensured that. He isn't the first fighter GGG has ruined with his jab and won't be the last. Trust me Jacobs will never be the same after that. He done.

I dunno. He got busted up but it wasn't a Golota / Bowe style beating. He's gotta feel good about being the first guy to make GGG look mortal.

Imma going to go out on a limb and say he's going to be fine, he's going to go on a 3-4 KO spree and then try to rematch Golovkin.

    Exactly.
And we also gotta realize this GGG v Canelo fight was always as good as signed since GGG passed on the Saunders fight directly after, hence, needing to ensure victory over DJ, possibly making him extra cautious.

I think DJ will come again strong, but his MW days are likely over, since he's got better title possiblities without risk of draining at 168, and the GGG fight will be up there for him after GGG is done with Canelo and BJS/AK.

I respectfully disagree. Jacobs is unquestionably shot beyond belief now.

GGG doesn't need to administer a Golota/Bowe type of beat down to render one of his victims shot. He has incredible genetics - a combination of Asian Chi-force power mixed with Russian bear nuclear power - and his jab ain't no ordinary jab. Trust me no mortal man can eat that many jabs from GGG and ever be the same again. It's just not physically possible to do so.

Check the video below out: GGG flooring the teak-tough Osumanu Adama with a jab not once but twice. Adama is, or rather was before GGG's jab ruined him, a very hard man. He's from Accra, Ghana. In fact, he hails from a small suburb in Accra known as Bukom which has a long and proud boxing history and for its size punches well above its weight when it comes to producing boxing talent. They breed them very tough over there. Think of a Ghanaian world champion or top contender and there's a good chance they probably hail from Bukom. Africa's 2nd greatest ever fighter (Corrie Sanders is #1) Azumah ''The Professor'' Nelson hails from there as does Ike Quartey.

GGG is the only fighter in recorded history to have stopped Adama. In fact, I think Adama has only ever been off his feet one other time and that was when he fought big punching SMW Donovan ''Da Bomb'' George who's stopped 22 of his 25 victims.

GGG stopped one of the toughest, most iron-jawed fighters in Africa, who hails from the tiny suburb of Bukom, a place known to produce the best fighters in the entire continent of Africa, and he completely drove his career into the dirt with jabs. Let that sink in.

@ 8:22 and 31:07 for those Asian Chi-force GGG jab KDs

Put a fork in Jacobs ass he done. 100% guaranteed.

What was the dominant punch in the GGG vs Jacobs fight?

    GGG's jab.

In fact, GGG's jab was more effective as a power punch than Jacobs' power punches were.

It was more powerful than Jacobs' power shots were
    It was cleaner
    It was more eye catching
    It did more damage
It jolted Jacobs head back more than Jacobs' shots did to GGG
And it hurt Jacobs more than his power shots hurt GGG

Not sure on this fight. The same reasons why CST feels Canelos true skills are deceptive is the same reason I feel where G is truly at is deceptive. Canelo still has a better resume and has fought better overall competition however you want to slice it. Both have been fighting easy fights that get overblown. I think it's a true 50-50 fight.

G's power is negated by Canelo's bigger star power. I don't think G has what it takes to KO Canelo in a fight of this magnitude. Canelo is a bit more prepared for an event of this size.

I'm sticking with Canelo via points/robbery. Safe money.

As far as the Khan analogy, Khan is a way sharper and faster puncher than G. G doesn't have anywhere near Khan handspeed. So it's not like G is just going to be putting together these sharp, fast flurries. G's entire game plan is intimidation backed by his power. It's a lot to do with theatrics. Jacobs didn't find this out until late in the fight. If you stand up to him, you have a better chance than fighting on the back foot. It's a tall order, I get this but it's the way to get G. Bully the bully and G often just sits there and covers up.

Canelo hasn't BEAT better fighters though. At least not at their good weight. Golovkin basically cleans out middleweight spanning years and people still almost act like he is untested. He has beat more than one fighter that might very well beat Canelo themselves if given the opportunity (Jacobs, Lemieux etc.)

ODH purposely put the fight in Las Vegas to give Canelo one more edge.

Here's the difference, Canelo performs well against defenseless face first come forward plodders with the ring IQ of a sloth, when exactly has he faced a skilled real pressure fighter that knows how to slip and parry punches and cut off the ring while working behind impeccable jabs and when they get on the inside land clean crisp combinations that are as accurate if not more accurate than Canelo himself?

    He hasn't.

This punch will set up the destruction, sometime in the first round Canelo will get hit with a right hand after the jab and his transmission will go into reverse AND TRY TO RUN FROM THE INEVITABLE
