Watching it live i really wanted ward to win so i scored it to him very biased and gave it ward by 3, I re watched it a couple of weeks ago and had it 114-113 Ward by 1. Anyone that says kovalev by 4 rounds or more is just a ward hater, even if you say you'll score it evenly you'll still have your eye caught by kovalev's punches rather than ward, probably the same why i did with Ward. At the end of the day it was a very close fight despite what ward haters say, and hopefully in the rematch there is a more convincing winner so these type of discussions wont need to happen.

I thought 5, 7, 8, 9 were clear Ward. And 3, 11 and 12 were Close rounds that he edged.

I don't remember my exact scores, but I had it for Ward. I don't like Ward, but Kovalev looked lost out there with few answers.

I would like Kovalev to win in the rematch, but I wouldn't bet on it.

And I had it for Golovkin, although not by much.

114-113 Ward but it could have easily been to Kovalev.
And i had Golovkin-Jacobs 6 rounds each. Didn't see it for Jacobs in any way.

I initially had it 116-111 Kovalev, but after rewatching it I had it Kovalev 115-112.

i can see in the moment scoring it for ward. We aren't professional judges after all. You also miss lots of stuff the first time you watch a fight. Honestly I pretty much missed the fact that Ward never threw any power punches to Kovalev's head the first time I watched it...second time I was like, WTF?

I think that all things looked at objectively the fight was probably 8-4 favoring Kovalev.

I can see a judge making errors in their scoring, some close rounds in there.

But to have all THREE judges score the fight for Ward is ABSURD.

All 3 giving the fight 114-113. This was the absolute ONLY score SOB could have won with. Anything wider than that and there should have been judges getting banned for life.

I still think the FBI should investigate Roc Nation for fight fixing.

I suggest you go back and re-watch that round. And be honest with yourself when you score it. Andre Ward caught Kovalev with a very good sweeping left hook to the head coming out of a clinch. Prior to that Kovalev had been out boxing Andre, he had also been warned a couple of times for low blows. They had traded a couple of jabs all of which pushed Ward back. After Ward landed this hook Kovalev landed his own left hook moments later and pushed Ward back for the rest of the round.

If you scored the 11th for Ward it was the classic 1 big punch wins the round. Only the punch didn't really have much of an affect and probably wasn't even the best punch landed that round.

In the past I have always been able to tell if I'm biased towards a fight (cough, Jean Pascal, cough cough) if I find myself scoring rounds like this in their favor.

I honestly think you should go back and watch that round again...

Youre right. FlIVd is nothing but a hater! He picked Kovalev because he doesnt want to give Ward any credit. Remember their little spat a couple years ago? The scared little man holds grudges and will never give Ward his due and if he does itll be some back handed sht. He also picks Canelo to ko GGG. FlIVds predictions mean jacksht!

Sorry but something is wrong with your eyes. Your description comes no where close. Ward landed the harder shots in that round. Kov landed maybe one good noticeable jab/left hook. Ward was the ring General. He was "FAR" more accurate with his shots. GTFOH. It's not even a hard round to score.

At the time I felt Ward by a point, can't remember which rounds as I just keep a tally in my head when watching a fight so I can better enjoy watching it.

For me Kovalev was too hesitant in the 2nd half of the fight and gave away a lot of close rounds away. And I'm not a Ward fanboy by any means, closer to a hater if anything I was jumping all around my living room when Kov scored the KD!

TBF I've never rewatched the entire fight and tried to score it so should maybe go back and do that.

I will say though that there were plenty of close rounds so although I'm fine with people scoring it for either fighter, anyone crying robbery needs to get GTFOH.

Wow I was the EXACT same. First time I think I had 116-111 or something stupid for Ward. Went and realized I ****ed up, 114-113 is the best you can give Ward imo. 115-112 is the best you can give Kovalev.

I got 114-113 on my second viewing. And I took notes to justify my rounds and posted a thread. Don't believe this was a robbery, just a razor thin decision that most can't believe when a knock down occurs.
