GGG is speaking fluent American these days. I have to say I had my doubts we'd ever see this. But here he is making jokes about Canelo and everything.

I expected this to be mocking his English, but he did sound okay and he conveyed reasonably complex points.

It is impressive that Golovkin learned how to speak English and he speaks some Spanish as well. El Pollo does not have enough respect to lean English, Kovalev is learning English and can be understood, not as good as Golovkin but good enough. Lomachenko can speak English now, will soon be confident with it. Both Klitschkos speak English, give interviews in, at least, 4 other languages, perhaps five............years ago I told Kerniski to send them to Berlitz school in LA, they did and improved at lot, Vlad speaks English better than Vitali, but both do quite well.............they all speak English better than James Toney and Toney was born in the US! LOL!

Note: Toney needs to retire or he won't be able to speak at all................

Great video. Golovkin's English is coming on very well indeed.

I love the way that he seems so inoffensive and nice in the interview but in the ring ... :firedevil:

Very impressed! He's really improved these past few years and I'm sure he'll get even better.

One thing that's gonna suck though is that it's gonna be harder to imitate him and sound funny (in a good way:D) if he gets too good.

    "I respect box" lol

    Keep it up G!:campeon:

Canelo can speak English just fine. He's just pandering to his fanbase by pretending he only speaks Spanish.

I interpreted his usage of "American" as ironic or something.

But I've always felt "American" should be viable shorthand for "American English." Unfortunately, using it that way just sounds ignorant at this point so that possibility is gone.
