I guess if you love punches in bunches, rather they land or not.

Ike missed a ton of punches but he still clearly outpunched and outlanded him.

He would if he insisted on referring to himself as 'The President' throughout the build up, the big plonker.

Ike loses to all three more often than not but could give Lewis a Mercer type fight or, if Lennox got careless, a McCall. But I could see Lewis taking him very seriously and doing a number on him. Bowe was unproven against the biggest hitters but we don't really know how hard Ike hit. Someone said in a previous thread that Tua was remarkably unmarked after 12 rounds and hundreds of punches landing so Ike's power might be a tad overrated. If he can withstand the power, Bowe has no problems with the workrate.

Ali boxes Ike's head off in the 60s but might get outworked in the mid 70s if he's not at the top of his game. Any time after Manila, I wouldn't want to watch knowing what I know now.

Did Jess Willard hit harder than Jack Dempsey?

At certain stages of each of there careers Ibeabuchi would certainly be a big threat to or possibly beat all three but in there primes you have to go with the three greats though Ibeabuchi was a physical specimen and a wildman the kinda guy who can be trouble for anyone.

I could see him beating Bowe in an entertaining fight.

Rather than looking anything near viable, by the end of his fifth round, with Ike, I think Byrd came across more like a mental patient, heavily dosed with benzos, claiming desperately that he wasn't mad.

That said - Ike would not beat a prime Ali, Bowe or Lewis, in my opinion.

    Byrd always comes off crazy.

But the fact is Byrd finished the round on his feet, and Ike was struggling to catch him with anything. The timing of the stoppage was frustrating. The crowd was right to "boo" it and Byrd was within his rights to complain.

His best chance is against lewis, who went life and death with mercer and got starched twice by a right hand.

I would still favour lewis but ike has a punchers chance

The Byrd stoppage was premature. If you don't think that then you are a biased hack.

Classic boxing fans need to get their heads out of their asses.
