Looks like Wladimir is leaning towards retirement, latest statement from him.

Wlad spent his entire career fighting scared in order to protect a weak chin. Now that he's too shot to even do that, retiring is the right move for him. The public, unfortunately, will miss many fine moments of seeing shot Wlad walked down and executed with massive uppercuts and hooks. Ah, what could have been! But at least the most boring era in heavyweight boxing will finally be over. So it's hard to complain, really.

Others can compete but not Wilder,Parker or Miller.Miller would be competetive for first 4 rounds.

If that truly was Wlad's last fight he went out with a Herculean effort at 41. Always classy and dominated everyone for a decade. A true ATG.

It will interesting to see what happens. As long as he refrains from pushing his opponents head down to waist level and then draping his torso over the back of the bent over opponent after every jab for 3 minutes of every round of every fight, I wouldn't mind seeing him carry on. Really enjoyed his fight with Joshua. Wouldn't at all mind seeing the rematch.

Arguably a top 10 HW of all time. He should retire now IMO.

He should call out wilder or parker and go out with a belt + 1 last 7-8 figure pay cheque.

fight eric molina of the worlds and continue making money. you have life still in you. thats what i would do. i would stay away from anyone ,but honestly if i were wlad i couldnt walk away from the game with out fighting fury . i would have to avenge that loss.

The Ring is far from official, Dino.
And ATG status is very much subjective.

That said, having looked at their list, it's a pretty decent effort.

I have Wlad at 10, but I could countenance him being as low (worst case) as 14.

They have John L ahead of Wlad, a great man no doubt, but from an almost different sport.

They also have Gene Tunney ahead. A fine boxer but not a top twenty heavyweight.

Apart from these two, you could make a case for the rest those ahead of him on that list.

The only real screw-up is Lennox.

He is criminally under-rated at 11.

Top 10 lock for me. I weigh longevity and dominance heavily along with # of contenders on the resume. There just aren't 10 out there that've done that more or better than Wlad IMO.

Honestly, Wlad should do whatever it takes to make the Wilder fight happen right now. I would actually do that before the AJ fight, to be honest. He probably beats Wilder even at this stage, and it would give him a big boost, and big hype, to either, retire on a high note.... or... set up more hype and momentum heading into an AJ rematch.

Wilder is going to get his cherry popped very soon, it makes absolutely no sense to me why Wlad wouldnt want to be the one to do it.

Would love to see Wlad starch Wilder. I'd bet the house on it.

Vlad should go ahead and knock Wilder and Parker out, then perhaps fight Joshua again, after that retire.................
