I think that's for the best. It also allows AJ to get Pulev out of his hair and move on to Wilder/Parker.

Does anyone know what was on that USB he had sewn in to his fight robe btw?

He has a good chance of winning the rematch if he decides to carry on, he knows he can hurt Anthony (then again he can hurt almost anyone). However, it would not be a bad decision if he was to retire now.

It's time. I have great respect & followed your career champ but its time. Props to the best HW of his era.. Joshua, Fury & Wilder its over to you.

    Much love to the K2.

I think it would be the smarter move for him to retire. No shame going out on that close and very entertaining loss to AJ and closing out on his amazing career. Yes, another big payday may be tempting but the risk of damage to his health doesn't really compare when you got $75 million in the bank already. He didn't waste his money and invested it wisely throughout the years.

The wise thing would be to retire, he gave it his all and came so close first time round but at this stage of his career it's always going to be an upwards struggle. Father time will always take a toll and no matter how hard you train or how motivated you are you can't beat the relentless march of time on the body.

But I suspect he'll fight on. He isnt a quitter, he made that clear when he turned his career around after those 3 early losses, some would of quit then or accepted they were not good enough, but clearly that isn't in Wlad's make up to just roll over and accept his fate. So I expect him to show up in fantastic shape again in the rematch and to be as focused as ever.

Shoudl retire, he had his rocky 6 moment, probably his career best performance in terms of ability (although lack of gas stops it being his best), it wont get better than that.

Yeah true , he's no David Price or Seth Mitchel. Amazbalz :eeek:

Even geriatric Holyfield didn't give up in that era , the fact Wlad was on the cusp of packing it in says it all really :pancarta:

I guess he should retire... valiant last performance and personally i see Joshua making the job alot easier next time round.

However, with him being placed high in the WBC now i cant help but think I would like to see a fight between him and Wilder.

I think its a much easier fight to win IMO and would mean he could potentially retire as a 3 x world champion or he could rematch AJ then with a belt.

Why would Wlad retire? One more golden opportunity to win all 3 belts. I'm sure he's encouraged that Joshua can be put down. I think he'll give it one more go. Nothing to lose.

Please retire. You're 41 years old, rich and a HOF fighter. If there is a burning desire to rematch Joshua I'll ride with you, but if not retire.
