He took Willard and Carl Morris' punches with no problems whatsoever. Firpo hit harder than most heavyweights today and Dempsey proved he could get off the canvas and whether the storm against a much bigger opponent. Hell, when Dempsey got back into the ring that's when the real fight started.

Ok. I'll go by top 10.

Christian Hammer, Charles Martin, Joseph Parker, Lucas Browne, and Pulev for sure. I'd back his right hand over Povetkin's best punch but Povetkin is 10x the better puncher.

Hammer, Martin and Pulev I can go with, but I can't agree with Browne or Parker. Both hit demonstrably harder IMO.

Firpo probably did hit harder with his right than most fighters in history...he couldn't fight but he could kill almost kill someone with his rt hand and those massive fists

I just don't think they have shown any crazy power against any good fighters. Firpo knocked Dempsey down twice and had him out of the ring/thinking he had lost the fight. He also knocked out Jess Willard and Brennan. The latter only having been knocked out 2 times in 100 professional fights up to that point.

Parker hasn't really shown me power against a top 10 heavyweight. He had his chance against Andy Ruiz and that other guy he just fought where he looked bad apparently (haven't watched the fight yet). Browne has a knockout win over Chagaev but that wasn't anything special.

Last thing, Firpo got that title shot pretty much because of his right hand. He didn't have to much in the skills department and would practically beat guys to death with that right hand.
