I doubt his nice guy persona would play well over here. We like our arrogant, controversial athletes.

Is Joshua allowed into the US with his well-known conviction for supplying illegal drugs ?
I know cannabis is legal in some states now so he might be welcomed.

Then again, if America allowed James Corden and Piers Morgan in, they can't be too fussy about the quality of the Brits they accept.

Late Late Show has the 2nd highest ratings and viewership of any show for that time slot and it gets a lot of plays for online clips.. brilliant exposure for AJ and first of many I'm sure.

It'd be funny if Wilder went to Conan O'Brien's show and then Conan would probably be raising his fists and be like I'll beat you mother****er and then Wilder would be like ahaha sure yeah like you could nervous laugh.

He's certainly a huge star here in the U.K. I think it's a good decision to start looking internationally to start transitioning into a more global star.

Was Deontay Wilder ever on US mainstream TV like a latenight talkshow? Its amazing that Wilder is still completely unknown in his own homemarket, he's just not a draw at all this guy.

Nobody really cares about Wilder. I mean you get the occasional fans here and there, but he's almost unknown in the US. He's probably better known here in the UK.

Crawford becoming the first undisputed champion in 16 years still won't be big enough to appear on late-night talk shows. He fights out of Nebraska. Why is he not a draw?
Hell , throw Canelo in there too. Not being a mainstream celebrity isn't exclusive to Wilder.

McGregor done a fair few talk shows too whereas Americas UFC fighters are totally unknown to the general public. What is it that you can't understand about this?

Goes to show that accomplishment is more important than nationality. All this bull**** about Wilder being American so he should be a star in America is nonsense. Wilder sucks, relative to his standing.

Andrew f'kin Golota was on Conan Obrien. That's how little draw it takes. Andrew f'kin Golota. Wilder is less known in his own home country after FIVE (!!!!) title defenses of the WBC HW title than a psychopath Polish bar bouncer who never held a single belt!

Golota was huge in America dummy. He was part of one of the very biggest and best HW divisions of all time.
What sort of a non-point is that?

When was Vitali Klitschko on a talk show?? I guess he must be a nobody too yeah?:nut:

Vitali was a star in his home country. He was also fairly well known in the rest of Europe. Wilder isn't even popular in his own country.
