Boxing aint like it was in 1968. That's for sure, now the fighters from the former soviet union who were not allowed to turn pro then are allowed to turn pro now. Now if you are a world champion, you are truly a world champion, in that way it is not like 1968.

The winner is the no1 @ cruiser regardless, thought he would bottle it tbh, just wants to cash his 0 @ heavyweight.

Usyk is passing up on a big opportunity. His loss. Moving up to heavyweight would be a mistake as well.

Great, when boxers get paid for doing those things, Usyk will make lots of money.

We won more Olympic medals than the Soviets back then too:

In 1956 Floyd Patterson won the Olympic gold medal defeating a Romanian Vasili Tita KO-1
In 1960 Cassius Clay won the Olympic Gold LHW medal defeating the greatest Pole boxer ever Zbigniew Pietrzykowski
In 1964 Joe Frazier advanced to Olympic Gold HVYT medal defeating Russian Vadim Yemelyanov with a broken thumb.
In 1968 George Foreman won Olympic Gold defeating a Pole, a Romainan, and a Russian Ionus Chapulis in the final.
Then Teofilo Stevenson and International Politics took over.

But the Soviet block fighters did fight for the "World Championship" and when they fought American hall-of-famers, previously, they generally lost.

He doesnt need to go in this tournament because if its not anyone over 230 its a waste of time for such a fighter ,just look at the Hunter fight he had and how easily he won that ,right?. Hes not going to something he can win ,its unfair when Usyk can defeat anyone at Hw now, even Joshua so get on the dance floor and get crazy...........:DJ::band::dancing::dancer2::lupie: :starwars-smiley::elefant::banana::BangHead:

I thought Mike Ortiz was going to drop down to cruiser! Could make it a bit interesting.
