No one cares about boxing in the US and no one is going to care about "nice guy" AJ.

People are hating on Wilder, but no other modern boxer is known here either. Mayweather and Pacquiao are the only modern boxers anyone has ever heard of.

Even for Mayweather, no one gave a **** about his fights (except for the Pacquiao fight). People only cared about him because of his money flaunting and controversies.

And Pacquiao is only known because he was supposed to finally beat "that arrogant *******" Mayweather.

Go ahead and ask any young guy about Wladimir Klitschko, Joshua, Wilder, Crawford, Golovkin, Kovalev, Ward, Canelo etc. They'll have no idea who you're talking about. (Unless they're Mexican, in which case they'll know Canelo of course.)

The only way Joshua will be popular here is if he starts posting IG pictures of himself bathing in cash, gets accused of raping and/or beating women, threatens to hurt/kill someone on camera, or starts making racist comments.

Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, James Corden and especially Stephen Colbert I find repellant in the extreme, Late Night is in the pits, its riddled with virtue signaling smarmy condescending elitist preachers not comedians. I refse to watch any of them except for Kimmel on occasion, sadly he's the least funny part of the Man Show, Carolla should be the guy getting the talk shows and all the attention instead of him.

I never thought I'd actually end up missing that fat duplicitous blowhard Jay Leno.:eusa_doh:

For the record I'm a Letterman and Conan guy.

I think you're right about the U.S not caring anymore about boxing. Things have just moved on there for some reason.

Youre still missing out on millions of viewers in the us. No matter how you slice it its a dumb move. No such thing as bad publicity.

I wonder why Conan is so un-popular in general sense? I mean the picture I get is that the guy has quite a lot of dieharders, but still the viewers weren't there when he got the Tonight show.

Personally I can't stand Colbert and Fallon.
Coincidentially we've had Corden now on Finnish tv for few weeks: I find him meh.
