Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

Dude at my job hates Floyd and says he's going to buy this. I'll never understand you guys...

I'm not paying for this but if someone is hosting a party, I'm watching. Then I hear people say they won't watch it; not even for free on replay? What's the harm? It's likely a bad fight but still fun. And ultimately that's what this is: two stars capitalizing on their names to make millions in a fun, fantasy match up.

 

1) DON'T FRONT--- we know you unemployed!

3) Turning tricks at a truck stop is not really "working"

 

MMA fans should be the ones complaining, their star man essentially sold out to get beat up for a payday.

 

I'm officially that guy watching interviews about this "fight".

One thing that intrigues me is who will train the two. Floyd Sr doesn't seem to be in the best of health and rumours are that there is a dispute of who owns what in TMT brand...

And Conor will need a boxing coach - who will he choose?

All the people saying they won't buy or won't watch because its bad for the sport and its a money grab are the same ones who would happly pay the UFC PPV to watch Mayweather get whooped by Mgreggor in the octagon.

Its not about it being bad for boxing, its about floyd and nothing else, The haters can't stand to see him make another easy 250+ million while putting on a show and destroying McGreggor.

Watch how many people will be active on here during the fight, The RBR thread will brake records everybody will be watching, all the people saying they won't are straight liars.

$100 million my ass! SHO wouldn't be THAT stupid to give him that guarantee in an absolute joke/disgrace of a match up. He and 00007 probably have a decent guarantee, but I think the PPV has to surpass a certain number of buys before they the percentages kick in.

 

I'll watch it...Just to see the gulf in class more than anything.
I love watching Floyd box and while this is a joke of a fight it will be hard to miss with the hype surrounding it.
It should be a white wash - if Floyd can school Canelo he will dismantle Connor

Ive watched the likes of Calzaghe, Hatton, Haye etc etc take on over matched guys as they come through the rankings I guess I can stomach watching a veteran face a novice

I think showtime will pay that. Espinoza said they did very well out of their 6 fight deal and said he thinks it'll do better than May/PAC. I think a safe investment for Showtime

 

No, they lost money w/ the Guerrero, Berto, and 2 Maidana fights. These 4 fights flopped so badly that they made an official statement about not disclosing PPV numbers.

If they made any money, it was with the Canelo/Pac fights.
