I think PBF will carry Conor to be honest. He will do that for atleast 6 rounds after that he will probably try to turn it up and get him out of there.

May May carries Conor for at least 5 to 6 rounds just so the casual chumps get their moneys worth, and everybody is happy. Then he sets a trap and knocks Conor spark out.

He may also have a rematch in mind so may want to make it look slightly close until he just steps the heat up.

Yep its a pro fight and yep its going to be a exhibition of fine boxing by Floyd. Mayweather is going to try and make Connor McGregor look easy. Right. Neither fighter currently ranked at the weight and it easily gets sanctioned. If you can rationalize this fight as a title fight then you can rationalize anything.

 

Connor was gifted a license so technically its legit and will count. But we all know its a ****ing joke.

 

I'd love to see McGregor catch Floyd with something that buzzes him and brings some excitement to the fight but I can't even imagine that in my wildest fantasies. Any bit of boxing knowledge I possess tells me that McGregor will be mortified for 6 rounds before the ref steps in and ends the misery for both McGregor and the paying customers.

And anyone who thinks McGregor will do any kind of MMA maneuver can forget about it. Floyd will have massive financial sanctions in the contract for McGregor if he tries any of that crap and rightly so.

Will I buy it? I'm sure I will. The build up will be a good laugh and at the end of the day, it's the first and last time we'll ever see a UFC champion versus a boxing great so why not, will be interesting to see what McGregor does if he attempts to end the fight.

 

I don't see how McGregor goes 12, the difference in levels is too ridiculous. I was shocked watching his spar with Van Heerden, he looks completely helpless in there. Surely this is a license to print money and a gift to us boxing fans.

 

James Toney vs Randy Couture was a joke. Because boxers have zero experience in being taken to the ground and defending themselves from submissions under MMA rules.

Boxing (punching) is an aspect of MMA. All MMA fighters have to punch so boxing is merely one of the various aspects of MMA. So unlike Toney vs Courture under MMA rules which was a joke, this fight is legit because it's in boxing. This isn't like a soccer team playing a rugby team in rugby. This is like a track star who won a gold medal in running while hurdling taking on a track star who won a gold medal in long distance races in a long distance race.
