a lot of people here just naming "strong" or "fast" fighters. That doesnt equate to "most athletic".

Athleticism must encompasses speed, strength, power, coordination, flexibility, balance, endurance, reflexes.

    SRR this wins in spades.

Duran was also not mentioned and didnt lack in a single one of these categories.

Not really. You HAVE to be athletic to manipulate your body to avoid shots the way that JT did.

Toney fought like that because its the style that let his fat ass continue to be a fighter. If you're gonna add JT, you might as well add Ruiz Jr for the same reason lmao.

Right now Lomachenko has to top the list. Amazing athlete married to an incredible boxing brain.

One of the best pure athletes to find success in the boxing ring in recent years is Sergio Martinez.

Hell yea, this. Tyson was a beast physically and had the brains and gameplan to go with it. He was probably faster than many guys at weights far below him.

In terms of current fighters, Errol Spence Jr, Adonis Stevenson, Gary Russell Jr and Jarrett Hurd have to be up there. (Up until now, Jarrett Hurd has basically been banking on his combination of athleticism and physical size at 154 to see him through in fights.) But I agree they agree with you: currently, Vasyl Lomachenko is on a completely different level to the rest.

Wasn't Sergio Martinez a professional cyclist or something, before he turned to boxing? What a stamina monster!

James J Jeffries. World class in his day.

1 ) Track and field sprinter 10.5 second 100 yard dash, 6 ' high jumper in a day when your feet cleared the bar, without a back flop. Both good enough for Gold in the 1896 Olympics.

2 ) Powerlifting. Numerous feats of strength, the story most told is he hoisted a 500 pound deer on his back, and beat his friends back to camp on the hike. Jeffries used a 300 pound heavy bag filled with sand.

    3 ) Wrestling.

Oh yeah he just happened to be the heavyweight champion of the world from 1899-1904.
