if charlie was 'schooling' ryan collins as you put it why was collins ever in the position to 'header' him? maybe you mean headbutt him and not headered i would expect this future world champ (bacuse jim watt says lol) to control him with his jab and ensure like the 2 journeymen that beat collins that he was never in the position to headbutt (header) him in the first place. i admire your loyalty to charlie flynn but were you at the championships that day? because i was and watched the fight with paulin unfold. i don't know lewis paulin that well but anyone there will tell you he got ripped off so i guess your nothing more than a #charlieflynnnuthugger i understand your optimism, charlie has had 8 wins with 1 big ko and only 1 win against a guy with a winning record of 4-2 jordan ellison who is nothing more than a journeyman anyway and a draw against the area level opponent ryan collins when an 'accidental head clash' stopped the fight not an intentional 'header' i like how you feel he will be a world beater but maybe you should share this wisdom with his manager and matchmaker because they really don't seem to have the faith that you do
yeah i have been really impressed with him since he was amateur, great style for the pro game and has a bit of spite about him.
i was ringside for Charlie v Ryan and it was a complete accidental clash of heads, imo Charlie was very wrong in saying Ryan head butted him both were has bad as each other
we dont always agree billy but this was what i thought when watching it. being honest and as a west coast man how do you really rate charlie? if he were to fight at 140 would you be happy for jason easton to fight him and at 135 do you think lewis ritson would be too much for charlie? or do you think charlie will reach the heights @LastHalf thinks of world champion?
My point was about the British, the same point you had referenced. You place a lot of importance on this commonwealth games like its some sort of divine right for success. It's not. Your bell ringer patter is diabolical aswell.
I turned up at the semis that day just after Flynn and Paulin boxed. The Meadowbank coach who I have met a few times was proper raging, complaining about the decision. Other folk told me Charlie was lucky. My mate was at the finals and he even thought Mark McKeowan should have won the final. However I'm sure we can all agree Charlie was great at the 2014 Games and thoroughly deserved Gold after producing the best performances of his career. I think he will get stopped or ko'd sometime soon (if he steps in with live fighters). However I wish him all the best.
Listen mate I support Taylor and Flynn but constantly downgrading Flynn's acheivements makes you look bad...#ImDoneHere
I have at no point downgraded his achievement, only gave a realistic stance on its importance. Touché, enjoy your weekend.
East coast West coast it doesn't matter to me,Lewis would stop Charlie matches him boxing ability but way to strong and I'd jump all over the fight for Jason but he's way ahead in development than Charlie at present
