That's why I feel bad for Kov for the first fight injustice. Rob his title and future earning.
The rematch purse could have been reversed if Kov got the decision first time around.

Kovalev is getting shafted not by Ward but because of his own PATHETIC management team who basically forfeited tonnes of extra earnings by accepting the first deal they came across.

What does Kovalev know? He gets punched in the head for a living, has a bad temper, doesnt understand US laws well and comes from a dirt poor backgroud.

 

Ethnic discrimination against Kovalev was not enough now they are discriminating against him economically as well. Actually they have been economically discriminating against him all along but none of this sites social conscience seem to the a problem with this.

 

I haven't heard Kovalev mention money once in any interview.

 

Why do you say that? Kathy may be the one who is ripping Kovalev off in the first place. I read something about Kovalev only taking home a fraction of his purses a while back. While everyone was talking about the family type atmosphere at Main Events, and slobbering Duva down, Kov seemed to be getting taken to the cleaners. Not sure whether it was Duva, or his Russian handlers, but he was really getting bent over if what I read was true.

 

Do you remember when no one knew who Sergey Kovalev was, when everyone was refusing to sign him and wanted nothing to do with him? Guess who gave him a chance, made him a multi-millionaire and gave him the opportunities to become recognised one of the top 3 PFP fighters in the world?
